Potato boy gets the first question about GMs, but I have some others that I demand answers to:

• Do GMs eat chicken with the skin on or off?
• When a GM logs on to an empty server, does he make a sound?
• You know that one time when I got two purple drops in a row -- that was you, right?

Potato boy asked:

What do GMs do during maintenance windows?

When the realms are down for maintenance, GMs can be found answering emails, undergoing training, and doing other administrative work. With a good business like Blizzard, there's a lot more to jobs than just sitting in front of a computer answering tickets.

Narkin asked:

I heard a rumor from a mildly unreliable source that a lot of the 4.3 features we're seeing are actually being pulled from the expansion to be released earlier because of SWTOR. Do you think there could be any truth in this?

Unreliable is the key word there. The answer is no, there's no truth to it.

Blizzard always moves around features and the time tables for them, so it's drawing way too much of a conclusion to say that SW:TOR pushed up features. We don't even have patch 4.3 out yet, or any real date when it'll be released.

I do suspect that we'll see Blizzard make some moves to dilute SW:TOR's release. Perhaps it'll pre-announce something about the expansion before BlizzCon or do something else to take away Bioware's thunder.

Or... (gasp, I know this is hard to believe) it might not do anything, because Blizzard knows that people are going to check SW:TOR out, but it's pretty sure they'll be back to WoW.

The bottom line? We don't know. We'll all have to just wait and see what happens.

Is it safe to assume that with Raid Finder that we'll be able to invite cross-realm Real ID friends to raids just like dungeons?

No, it's not safe to assume that. I think it's likely, but we won't know for sure until Blizzard release the patch notes, we can observe the functionality directly, or a blue comments in a definitive way.

JWill asked:

Where does the AH cut end up? I sold 20 maelstrom crystals the other day for 2k gold but only got 1.9k after the AH took 100g cut. So where does the money actually go?

The money just disappears. Blizzard's goal is to make there be some sort of trade-off for using the AH, and the money really doesn't need to go anywhere other than out of the game.

Also, a note on yesterday's Queue: It was a little late, but that was because folks got sick. We're not changing its 11 a.m. Eastern slot.
