Nothing makes my day better than playing wow while listening to this podcast. :)
Clockw0rk Aug 30th 2011 9:44AM
Holy crap!
That's the fastest I've ever seen the iTunes feed updated!!
Now if only you guys had some podcast episode/series art, I'd have no complaints :D
MattKrotzer Aug 30th 2011 10:04AM
I really want to see the drawings.
Vitos Aug 30th 2011 12:01PM
Seconded. And thirded. I've needed to see the drawing since it was mentioned. Maybe make it the header image for the Nitpitxels cast?
ravyncat Aug 30th 2011 1:53PM
I want to see them too.
I also requested this the first time the MatMatt the Ogre pic came up...now that there is apparently an entire gallery from Fox I really want to see it.
I would enjoy an entire MatMatt the Ogre fanart topic in the craft column maybe?
Please please please~
Arrohon Aug 30th 2011 4:22PM
I saw the McCurley picture on Twitter. I really want to see Mat'Matt the ogre.

Awesome work, Fox!
Now I just want to see Mat'Matt the ogre on his race car bed...

I really feel people are limiting themselves by only thinking about tier sets to mogg. Sure they look great but I'm sure we can be more creative than that.

As I've leveled my shaman, I've kept a nice set of quest greens that makes a very epic "I'm part of the horde" look
Fletcher Aug 30th 2011 11:49AM
The new sets of greens you get while leveling these days look quite good together and usually come in 2-3 different colour schemes; they're definite possibilities.
For my DK, I'm trying to put together something based on the Acherus Knight's Hood (the only bit of DK starting gear I kept) and the Shoulderplates of Everlasting Pain from Selin Fireheart in MgT; those two pieces share the same grey/dark grey colour scheme and go well together ... but nothing else seems to quite fit *them*!
So instead I'm adulterating T10 (the purple one) with the Doomplate Shoulders from the Black Stalker and the matching belt and boots from Ikiss and Anzu - they have the same purple-and-black colour scheme. Add Purple Illidari Trophy Tabard, Shroud of the Final Stand, and Torch of the Damned and you have my DK set. It's super-Illidan-y!

Got myself a Footman set for Protection. Was going for a Scarlet Crusader set for Arms, but sadly it's all mail. Damn it.
michaeleaves82 Aug 30th 2011 11:17AM
Fyi, the warlock set with wings is tier 6, warlocks are going with Tier 5 because its the "felguard" look. Spikes with skulls on the shoulders.
Orkchop Aug 30th 2011 11:39AM
Why didn't you guys just let fox be on the show? Did he not bring a headset?
Adam Holisky Aug 30th 2011 12:02PM
No, he didn't bring a headset. ;-)
It was more of a "my power is out so I'm staying at Mat's" sort of thing, I think.
Fletcher Aug 30th 2011 11:43AM
The problem with Taurajo isn't that it was too nice. It's that the *zone ended in a stalemate*. We got a bad reputation with the steaks and no actual progress. The Alliance doesn't need to do *bad* things; the Alliance just needs to *win*.
Unfortunately, the update of Vanilla meant that from a gameplay perspective, the Alliance needed to *lose* a lot in order to balance out the number of zones on each side. Hopefully going forward into 5.0 the Alliance can make some actual *progress* in defending civilization from the barbarians and tyrants of the Horde.
Warlock tier Five is the Corruptor's Raiment. Black and red, chains on spikes. Tier Six is the Malefic Raiment - garishly coloured, wings on the hat. Go for the Tier Five.
Hammer of the Naaru + Justicar's = the Draenei from the Burning Crusade cinematic. Draenei pallies should definitely go for it. As a non-raider, my Draenei pally is going for Dungeon Set 3 (Righteous); I've already got the Argent Champion title and tabard.
Rogue T5 (dreadblade) is, in my opinion, quite underrated - but for me it's really a toss-up between T7 and T4. I'm personally not a fan of T2 (though a lot of people seem to like it). T10 is good for forsaken and *only* forsaken; T8 is OK but only if you a) turn off helm display or b) use it to go trick-or-treating on Hallow's End.
Warrior T5 offset (the green one) is worn by the Hyjal Defenders in the Molten Front. Honestly I'd prefer T4 - red, neato hat, giant grinning demon faces on your shoulders. T6 is what you'll see everyone running about in, and of course the tanks will have Bulwark of Azzinoth to go with it.
WRT tanking - Rift got around this problem by giving every class a tank spec. GW2 is doing it by getting rid of tanks and healers. I'm willing to bet that Titan and other Blizzard MMOs going forward won't use tanks.
"Fools! Kill the one in the dress!" - Nefarian still says this ... even when you're soloing it on a plate class.
Tanking is less a "burden of knowledge" and more a "burden of responsibility".
WRT the Darkmoon Fair, I can't say I ever thought about it much. I never thought "this needs an upgrade" ... it was just a thing that existed and didn't do anything. I just never *cared* about it. But then I joined in Wrath, at which point it was already utterly obsolete.
WRT the Darkmoon *Pit* ... the Gurubashi one isn't exactly fun if you're not a rogue or a hunter who can sit there until Pei chucks the chest out and then gank everyone who tries to come get it.
I personally don't think it'll be a panda, or related to Pandaria. In fact, if you go dig up the Puzzle-Box of Yogg-Saron from Archaeology, some of the things it says makes it sound like it'll be more related to the Old Gods!
Fox Van Allen's presence isn't *ghostly*. It's *shadowy*. Get it right! :P

Atonement is the disc priest smite-heal mechanic.
Great show!
Joseph Aug 30th 2011 1:28PM
I'd like to see Rossi talk tanking with the guys from Torocast.com (podcast about the old republic mmo coming out.) They seem to think that the new threat change has destroyed any sense of tanking left in WoW.
Blayze Aug 30th 2011 2:45PM
Gief updated Ravenholdt faction please.
Talmar Aug 30th 2011 2:55PM
So why is it when I do a search for warcraft in Winamp I can't find the WoW Insider Show? I find 84 other podcasts, WHU, Cynical Brit, Voices of Azeroth, OutDPS, even Channel Massive, but no WoW Insider Show. :(
Just curious.
