I don't know what made me think of Yumfries's masterful Summon U a Drank, but it somehow got stuck in my head overnight. I may have made a joke to my beloved wife that I wanted to summon her a drank or something, I don't know. It doesn't matter.
What does matter is that this music by Yumfries is still hilarious. If you find yourself thinking, "I don't like it," remember that it's a parody. He poking fun at T-Pain and the infinite Auto-Tune, even while having a little fun with his fellow WoW players. I think the mix of machinima and live action really lends something to this effort, underscoring the surrealism and absurdity of the whole production.
Just kick back and let the smooth tunes of the mage's Auto-Tune wash over you. If you get thirsty, just summon uself a drank. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at moviewatch@wowinsider.com.
This isn't the first time that Moviewatch has posted an encore presentation of a video. Some stuff is just plain worth watching again, and not everyone saw it the first time. I don't think anyone complained when Exodar Disco was posted twice. ^_^
Personally, I'm waiting for "Icecrown Raiding" to be posted again. Even if it's no longer endgame relevant, it's still awesome, and the world needs more night elf rap.
This would hardly be the first time something is repeated for the moviewatch. Many times an old favorite is repeated. If you think you have something new and good that needs sharing please share it with them, I'm sure they'd love the tip. Otherwise, we'll all enjoy seeing an old video revisited.
True, true. I just noticed cause of the way that video's preview look was eyecatching. XD That and it was seemingly presented as if it were the first time done. :
Really hit and miss for me. There are about as many clever lines as there are vapid ones. That's probably intentional, but that made it difficult for me to want to finish it.
Hey. Opinions? People can have them. I just don't happen to find it all that hilarious. So my immediate urge was the point out it being recycled. Le-gasp.
first heard this on FireMageRadio and then checked out the video not too long after. friggin' LOVE Yumfries' "Lich King Party" song.. or whatever it's called. Excellent choice. Just so silly and a great parody honestly.

I think I like it ... but I'm not sure lol I'll have to let it percolate in my brain a bit before I make my final decision.

Haven't had a chance to listen yet, but I just wanted to say:
I find the idea of a Mage using Autotune a delightful absurdity. Master of the Arcane paired with High Technology.
Now, a Gnome using Autotune, well, that's a no-brainer. Heck, now that I think about it I'm appalled by the lack of Gnomish-Autotuned-Music!
We need Gnomish Autotuned Techno, stat!

"Blind" says hi.

That was funnier than I expected it to be. ^_^ Also love the out-take at the end.

My brain went OOM watching this.

I miss Yumfries. He hasn't made a new vid in months. =(
Stenenis Aug 31st 2011 3:07PM
Just re-watched a bunch of his vids. "Forever a Nub" is still one of my favorite songs, and "Litch King does Orphan Weeks" is touching as ever.
To anyone who hasn't watched any on Yumfries vids other than this, it is in your best interest to do that right now. you will not be disappointed.

Last couple of Nub Tales haven't been as good as the old ones I think.
(Thoguh LK does Orphan Week was amazing)
