I know you are an east coaster. Washington is not a train away from California my friend. None of that 'eastern seaboard we're one large megalopolis'.

takes 2.5ish hours to fly from LA to Seattle.

Takes 6 hours to drive from LA to San Fran!

I love my west coast but wish I had a bullet train.
