They're not taking away the racial. It's purely to balance mount achievements between Alliance and Horde. Not sure why they felt the need to go quite so big on the announcement though.

Wow, the forums are full of rage. Love the game, hate the fanbase.

That would be insane. This isn't Blizzard trying to ruin your fun, they're just trying to to restore faction mount parity and give non-Worgen something for hitting Exalted with Gilneas. End of story, nothing to see here, move along please.
