The Queue: Syrio lives

I hope everyone in the States had a good long weekend. I enjoyed myself -- some Minnesota State Fair food and fun, along with a lot of other festivities.
Time for more WoW now, though ... need to farm more honor.
Paulmewis asked:
What other races where considered for the alliance in BC?
None; Blizzard always intended for the Draenei and Blood Elves to become the new races in BC. There are a lot of rumors that Pandarens almost made it in, but I've never heard that from someone at Blizzard (on or off the record).
Darren asked:
Why doesn't Blizzard reduce the level requirements for the Outland cooking and fishing dailies? Seems stupid that they don't start until you are two levels into Northrend. Also, why dont we get skill points for the Outland and Northrend cooking and fishing dailies like we do for the new Azeroth dailies?
In general, Blizzard needs to do a revamp of Outland content. It knows the area is severely lacking, and it's stated publically that it wants to go through and update everything. I suspect that we'll see those quests change when we get the new Outland. When is that coming? My guess would be an expansion.
Gait asked:
I want to read all the WoW books in order. Which one should I start with?
Anne Stickney put together a list just for this purpose! Check out our chronological list of WoW novels for more information.
Andre asked:
Is there a Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects audio book? I'd love to listen to it while playing, seeing as I can't find the time to sit down and read it.
Nothing is showing up on Audible or Amazon, so I'd have to say no.
Parmlee asked:
If River Tam is a Combat Rogue and Arya Stark is an Assasination Rogue can someone give us an example of Subtlety?
Syrio Forel.

Pssst - you misspelled Draeaeieenei in your first answer.
Straz Sep 6th 2011 11:02AM
Draineye? Dranee?

I find it interesting that the developers have said "Dray-nigh" in interviews, but the intro video for them says "Drah-nay." (Unless it's been updated.)
QC, people!

Same goes for Quel'Thalas (one is 'Kel'Th-alas' and another is 'Qwell'Th-alas') and I think I heard somewhere that it goes for Keal'thas as well.
If someone can point to the instance where the first is said differently I'd be greatly appreciative!

"Why does everyone have trouble with the name of our people? It sounds just like it is spelled."
Amaxe Sep 6th 2011 2:47PM
(Although actually there's a lot of variation on the pronunciation of "ei." Technically, with the spelling, it should be DRAY-NEE (as in the ee pronunciation of either) or DRAY-NAY (like in Height) depending on who you ask, though I've always pronounced it DRAY NAI. My guess is people think of the "ai" pronunciation of "either/neither")
MattKrotzer Sep 6th 2011 3:12PM
@Amaxe
Is that ee-ther/nee-ther or eye-ther/nye-ther?
Noyou Sep 6th 2011 3:52PM
Goodness. I had a headache before I started reading the queue. Pronunciation lessons didn't help it /facepalm. I don't care how you say it, if you type it in formal chat though please just spell it correctly ;) I don;t have a lot of things I am OCD about but that is at the top of the list.
A rogue.
Frank-potato Sep 6th 2011 4:31PM
I dnt see what the trouble pronouncing the name is.....now matter how you twist it they are called the same....Space Goats!
Amaxe Sep 6th 2011 7:06PM
@Matt
I tried to make it clear I was talking about how ei can have eether pronunciation or ayether pronunciation.
Guess I failed.
