I think that selling pets from neutral vendors is an evil, evil thing. Though that didn't prevent me from doing some quick profit with Winterspring Cubs until people realized they can get them at a vendor that is only ~2min away from where you spawn after taking the portal to Hyjal, at 1/5 the price.

I see nothing wrong with profiting off of other peoples' laziness. :D

Evil? Hardly.
I don't care if people are just too lazy to go out and get the pet themselves, too lazy to put the effort in to get them through the neutral auction house, or simply too lazy to go check Wowhead and figure out where they can get the pet, it all comes down to the same thing: people are paying for the convenience.
Now, that last case may be the one that inches closest to being unethical, but really, caveat emptor; if you're buying something off the auction house without taking a minute to figure out if the price you're paying is fair or not, it's your own fault.
And I'll be happy to take your gold for it.

It's only evil if you assume everyone who buys them from teh AH just doesn't know better- which isn't really true. A lot of people just don't want to fly all the way out to wherever.
