Me and a group of friends got this brilliant idea one day about gambling. Basically what we do is make people duel a hunter's pet and see if they can kill the pet within a minute.
Of course we want to profit on this so we made an entry fee with a chance to win an amount of gold.
Is this considered gambling and is it legal? I need to know because we've planned an evening to do this with good geared players and not random people from outside of Stormwind with higher win-prize and entry fee.

Okay, to clarify the rules on this specific scenario:
If the event is based on skills and not on a random chance factor (such as using /roll to decide a winner), it's actually fine from a legal standpoint.

Just give worgen a Cardboard box with wheels that has "MOUNT" painted on the side in bright red letters and call it a day. It'd make me laugh :)

I'm reasonably sure that if you climbed into a cardboard box it would turn into a fighter jet, space-ship, time machine, cloning bank or transmogrifier. Given the highly volatile and unpredictable nature of cardboard box physics, I don't think that this is feasible.

And now I'm imagining a worgen traveling the countryside in a ratty old box with wheels. He sets up little snake oil stalls, charging people to throw random gear in the box and magically it comes back out transmogrified and he's calling it new. People don't realize that it the same old gear from before, but by the time they figure it out, he's back in his box again and driving away. In the box.
I am so bored.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! Cardboard box physics... I love it! The cardboard box could be a new flying/ground/water mount/vendor/repairer/bank/hiding place for sneaking by guards.

(*My Kingdom for an "Edit Post" button...)
That being said, what a great idea for a new mount... [Transmogrifying Cardboard Box] ... Serves as both a ground and flying mount, and while the user is mounted on this device, the user can change both their own appearance, as well as that of the box itself into any imaginary related combination as selected. Note: This change will only display for the the user themselves... All other player will only see a little boy sitting in a cardboard box (along with his stuffed tiger). Calvin is the original Hunter!

This is pretty unfortunate that they wanted to nerf the legendary even further. 10mans were massively slow in the first place and now you might get the staff late december close to xmas or new years. Really now?
This is really frustrating to me personally because I'm meant to be second staff wielder eventually and with this rate I will never get one before next autumn or something bizarre like that(my math can fail so it might be "earlier" like next summer if I want to spend that much time on the sodding thing) it seems when it becomes pure vanity item anyway or in worst case replaced by deathwing raid heroic item which is very possible to get before next summer.
