... but I'm pretty sure that Faceless Ones have faces.
Sclark1138 asked:
Deathwing's "human" model is really cool, are there any other times we see this beside the quest series in Badlands? Do you think we will fight his human form in the final raid (and collectively punch him in the face)?
At this point in the expansion, the Badlands quest is the only place where Deathwing's Human model is used. Maybe we'll see it in one of the 5-man dungeons or one of the apparently many Deathwing encounters in the 4.3 raid.
Marolas asked:
With Transmogrification coming out in 4.3 to combat people's dissatisfaction with the look of the current raid tier, do you think Blizzard has less of an obligation to design classes along a particular theme?
The main reason I bring this up is because in Icecrown Citadel, Tier 10 gear was based HEAVILY on the enemies we had fought up to that point in Northrend (San'layn, Nerubians, King Ymiron, etc.), which made perfect sense from a lore standpoint and produced some of the most interesting looks for classes. However for 4.3 we see the Blizzard art team taking reference from Ulduar for their final tier for the expansion rather than have a design concept built around what we've been playing for the past year.
I'm not saying it's wrong, but I really liked the unifying theme that tied up the tier 10 raid gear nicely with the idea that the Lich King intended to corrupt us all along, and what better way than to offer us the armaments of the damned? With Deathwing it kind of seems like the art team - for better or worse - is going balls to the wall and just doing stuff they think will look cool.
Honestly, I think you're reading a bit much into the "based on Vezax" thing. We've been dealing with Old God minions for this entire expansion. It's not entirely out of left field to base a tier set on them.
That said, Blizzard really already used up its expansion themes in tier sets already, from Ragnaros being mystifyingly used as a tier 11 set to every Firelands mob/boss being an armor set. The Rule of Cool is pretty much all there is to fall back on at this point. I don't mind. I don't think many people really have demands for their tier sets beyond "don't make me look dumb."
JonRowley asked:
How many of WoW's lost subscribers do you believe are a result of the crackdown on gold farming? Obviously those farmers were players so less of them means less players.
Honestly, not many. Blizzard has been fighting gold farmers for a very long time. Nowadays there are very, very few actual gold farmers; the majority of bought/sold gold comes from systematically compromising accounts, not from farming it up oneself.
Nyold asked:
There used to be a channel Guild Recruitment, iirc. What happened to it? Does it get replaced by the guild finder feature, even if that feature is not a "channel" per se? Or was it simply scrapped because people didn't use it?
The guild recruitment channel was removed with the advent of the Guild Finder system.

Opinions on what the legendary will be for 4.3?
Personally, I think it'll be an agility axe or mace, for rogues and enhacement shaman, maybe with a str version for dks and warrs
Shane.wigmore Sep 11th 2011 12:11PM
Nope! I'm definitely hoping its a wand!!!! :p
Though I guess an agi axe would be cool!
Nina Katarina Sep 11th 2011 12:15PM
It'll be a legendary motorcycle. That flies.
Noyou Sep 11th 2011 12:17PM
Should be a bow or gun for hunters. Yeah. Actually I was having a nice discussion with some guildies yesterday. I suggested hunters should have a class ability to craft a bow. Blizzard would never allow it to be anything more than Blue quality and soulbound. But I can live with that. Mages should be able to do the same with a wand.
Calaana Sep 11th 2011 12:23PM
Hunters had a level 60 class quest for a bow/stave combo. I believe it still works, even in cata.
I don't see an agility axe happening, but maybe a mace. No axe because then hunters might be tempted to use it, and that would be a wasted since it's little more than a stat stick then. Shame not to actually see the thing in a fight, you know? Anyway, they've got the bow from sunwell, in the same way tanks have thunderfury, and boomkin have MC hand of rag.
Honestly I'd rather more quel'delar style stuff than another legendary. Quel was legendary in lore terms, and a big achivement for those of us who can't raid, and I don't see a reason it can't be strong enough to be/equal BiS for normal modes at least.

Blizzard have stated that they want to do a tanking legendary. Obviously there's very little overlap between the tanking classes in terms of equippable items and stat priorities, so it remains to be seen what they are going to do about it.
I would love an item that transforms bears into Deathwing-inspired alternate models, a la Fandral's Flamescythe. Could you imagine a druid turning into a smouldering, elementium-plated bear?

@Calaana; if you mean the old lvl60 epic class quest that rewarded an epic bow, it has been removed in Cataclysm.
Much the pity; Rhok'delar is an awesome bow, and the quest chain was definetly worth doing. Two of my hunters have the bow and quiver (now bag). Nowadays the closest you can get to the feel of that quest is going after the taming challenges at Hyjal.
There might be something around lvl50 now, I hear there's a few class quests that got added to the game.

@noyou
Blizzard has already let mages make their own wands back when you could with enchanting.
Plus hunters have been able to make their own bows for awhile with engineering.
Engineers have already been making blue and purple quality bows and guns, and the accessories that go with them for some time.
Eregos ftw! Sep 11th 2011 12:37PM
@kalaa, i think you mean kittys. In either case, its not true. No guild would even take a feral to mc in the first place, much less give them a legendary that could be so much better with other classes. So far, ferals are the only spec (and arguably enh shaman) to not have a legendary designed for us. What im thinking is an agility 2 mace that has a one time use effect to turn it into two agility 1h maces. That way, it would work for 3 classes
Andy Sep 11th 2011 12:40PM
A tanking legendary weapon would be awesome. I'd imagine it'd have options though, similar to Quel'delar, to appease all tanking classes. One handed sword for warriors/pallies. Two handed axe for death knights. Polearm for druids.
Amanda A. Sep 11th 2011 12:44PM
Tank legendary-- at the end you get a staff, a sword and shield, a mace and shield, or a massive runed sword, depending on class. :)
Rai Sep 11th 2011 12:44PM
I'd love to see an agi dagger but as it'd only really be used for one class, I doubt it'll ever happen...
Crispn Sep 11th 2011 12:56PM
Pretty sure Blizz has said they won't make a tanking legendary because it would be hard to balance.
Morgatho Sep 11th 2011 1:12PM
@ Noyou
Or or, give us uncommonly good looking masters of rang death a class ability to change our weapons from guns to bows (Xbows too I guess, but who wants to use those anyway?) transmorging is bringing that to us, but were not going to be able to get our racial bonuses out of it.
Sunaseni Sep 11th 2011 1:53PM
I got it, it'll be a two handed mace with tanking stats on it. The flavor text will be "Two-Handed is merely a suggestion," allowing Paladins and Warriors to use it in one hand.
Amaxe Sep 11th 2011 2:36PM
This is probably a stupid question on my part, but is there any reason to think Blizz will make another legendary for 4.3 instead of just the one available for 4.2?
With all the comments, I'm wondering if I missed something important that everyone else is aware of.
Pyromelter Sep 11th 2011 2:57PM
"is there any reason to think Blizz will make another legendary for 4.3 instead of just the one available for 4.2?"
Somewhere along the way, when blizzard announced the legendary staff for 4.2, they said there would be one more legendary this expansion.
I cba to go find the post on it though, but it's out there in the wild. It hasn't been datamined or anything yet, so what it is, or who it's for, is completely a mystery at this point.
Al Sep 11th 2011 3:00PM
"The 4.2 legendary has fairly wide appeal, and the 4.3 legendary will have much more narrow appeal. We don’t want to fall into the trap of making legendaries too formulaic."
It's from the Tanking Q&A, though, which contained nothing important.
paul.morales91 Sep 11th 2011 3:01PM
Im thinking it'll be a polearm/agi staff, for use by hunters and ferals. Personally, im hoping for the scythe of elune, with an effect to turn bear/cat druids into spirit wolves. I can see it now...
Equip: Your melee/ranged attacks have a chance to summon a wolf spirit to aid you in battle for 15 sec. Stacks up to 5 times.
brb, gotta change my pants.
Amaxe Sep 11th 2011 3:03PM
@Pyromelter
Thanks. The way everyone was talking I thought I must have either not seen the news or forgotten it. Your comment jogged my memory.
