Patch 4.2 hotfixes for Sept. 14

Another day, another round of hotfixes for patch 4.2. Today's list is just a series of small tweaks to various mobs, quests and creatures scattered around Azeroth, as well as an adjustment to wine distribution. Wait ... what?
- Bottle of Dalaran Red, Bottle of Aged Dalaran Red, Cask of Dalaran Red, and Cask of Aged Dalaran Red should no longer award the player the next tier of Dalaran Red when placed on the ground.
- Alliance and Horde players are able to teleport to Anachronos as many times as they wish even after abandoning and re-accepting the quest A Legendary Engagement.
- Players will no longer go invisible in Uldum during the quest Premature Explosionation. If players log out or disconnect during the cutscene, they will return to Khartut's Tomb instead of being ported to a nearby graveyard.
Follow after the break for the full list of hotfixes.

Those 4.3 hotfixes were merely a setback!

I truly wish that they had made the Firelands trash-pack hotfix more visible. It can be a real morale crusher when no one receives any word on such a drastic mechanic change. They also hotfixed the trash in front of Baleroc, and I've yet to see any mention of this change. The changes, which give otherwise boring trash a difficult mechanic, aren't entirely unwelcome, as it really does switch up the pace from the rest of the Firelands trash thus far. However, making such changes without a public announcement seems unreasonable, as they led to several wipes for our raid until we could figure out exactly what we were doing wrong.

Yay, Blizz finally admits the Foe Harvester encounter was waaaay too intense.
Almost every Deadmines group I pugged broke up over the Harvester, and half of the times I zone into the Deadmines I'm greeted by the harvester because I'm replacing someone who decided to quit rather than die again.

Yeah, no one knows how to use the run the bot. Has been problematic when I've been the only one in the group who knows how and I'm running on a tank or healer alt. Once they were so desperate to not be it that one of the casters switched to their heal spec so I could do it. That being said, I *love* doing it.
Although now that they spawn faster, things will definitely get messy. People will have to learn how to knock them off the edge of the ramp when they pile up.

I took "spawn timer has been increased" to mean they'll be spaced further apart...we'll see, I guess.

Well, they had such an overwhelming success with putting obligatory vehicle mechanics into the wildly popular Occulus that they just had to repeat that in DMh - with the same success. Learning is fun, they shoul try it some time.

It actually got funny to see just how many people dropped group after finding themselves in the Oculus, usually after quipping "Screw this." I usually gritted my teeth and stuck it out, only to have to deal with the repair bill later.
While ToC may not have had quite as many drops (and yet I saw many), there were an awful lot of folks who just didn't get jousting and either refused to participate or let themselves be killed so they could wait for the healer to rez them once it was over.
TL, DR version: Quit it with the vehicle mechanics, Blizz.

What is so bloody hard about the robot.
It's so simple, mash 1 until you have enough energy for a charge, then charge it. Repeat ad infinitum. I liked that the enrage would produce more slags than the robot could cope with, it added an actual soft enrage to the fight and was one of the few 5 man heroic bosses that require the dps to pull their socks up or wipe.
WTB an actual Heroic difficulty, not this rubbish.
SamLowry Sep 15th 2011 7:09AM
And wipe was usually what happened.
It didn't help at all that unlike every other instance where you have to leave your hands off the controls for a few moments to let your machine build up "steam", you don't get any steam at all unless you hit something. I didn't figure that one out until, ooh, maybe the third or fourth DM instance.
I was always the one stuck in the robot and I hated every moment of it because I knew we'd wipe and I would be blamed, no matter how the fight went upstairs.

Wish I'd see something about "fixed problem with getting dropped from battle.net" This past week has been a royal PITA trying to play.

Why aren't there llamas in the patch notes?

"The transformation should not affect druids in Flight Form."
Fvck, I loved being a flying viking bitch...
