I've been thinking about this some, too - and I agree with what you've said.Moonkin form is awkward. You have to drop form to self-heal, leaving you extremely vulnerable ("Into the Fire", I'm looking at you). It's not worth even having those healy buttons if you're as squishy as a mage when you use them. I also don't like it not being a choice, given that damage is buffed so much by the form. I know that druids are known as the game's shapeshifters (hell, that's why I rolled one), but the limitations seem really artificial.I hate Eclipse. I feel like I'm fighting my toon as well as anything I'm casting at.(Disclaimer: I was never good at those games that required remembering complex button presses to create combos. I'm kind of dyslexic when it comes to spell buttons - playing a fire mage with all their similar-looking fire icons and spell names, for example, is very difficult for me.)
