Breakfast Topic: Do you participate in Pirates' Day?

Are you going to Booty Bay today, even though participating in the holiday isn't required for the What A Long Strange Trip It's Been meta-achievement? (Achievement point junkies can still score 10 points by traveling to Booty Bay and talking to Dread Captain DeMeza.) And do you actually like the holiday, or do you wish it would make like a tree and get outta here?

could use a portal to booty bay and orgrimmar pirate npc should be at main ah but yea... trying get achi on all my toons..

I'm enough of a kid to LOVE Pirates' Day and I'll ferry all my characters to Booty Bay today after work. Arrr, me hearties! :-D

Heh. Yeah. I had to log onto a few toons to make sure I had the achievement. Then I had to take my druid back because I made the mistake of shapeshifting once I got into SW and lost my lovely costume! Nay you might say? "It's something you can get from the deviate fish." Aye, but no! These costumes are race specific. That's right. You get a racial pirate costume. The gnome one looks like a little Ron Jeremy but the other ones are pretty cool. Pirates day is a nice prelude to one of the best holidays of the year. Brew fest :)

I remember last year, when there were a bunch of people hanging around with Dread Captain DeMeza in Booty Bay for no apparent reason other than being pirates. So I walked up to her and got the achievement...
Within the next ten seconds, ten people did the same thing. I guess they didn't realize there was one. ^_^

Arrrrrr Pirates' Day! It's two years since I slaughtered everything in Booty Bay, and i'm still feeling the effects of that! Not sure the last time I set foot in any of the Steamwheedle Cartel outposts without being set upon by a group of menacing Goblins. Still, at least I have my pirates outfit!

I was actually surprised when I flew my drake into booty bay and l hovered above the pirate captain, that my DK did not come under fire from the booty bay guards. I was able to get it this year. Thank you Old world flying. Thank you!

I personally think it's great. I love how Blizzard has just thrown this random and silly holiday in just for fun.
Especially since some players may feel obligated to do the other holidays for the mount, this is just a fun and relaxing holiday, and personally, I think it would be funny if they made some in game ninja spinoff holiday to compliment it XD
That, or just add in more fun and silly holidays like this

While I am a ninja person by heart, International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a good enough reason to let bygones be bygones for just one day.

Its my birthday on pirates day. Probably wont log in much before dinner, if I do I wont be heading to booty bay.
Pirate day is not a real holiday in my opinion, I guess in a few years people will have forgotten all about the silliness.

Pirates day in RL. It just seems made up recently, as opposed to made up centuries ago, and thus somehow less legitimate in my opinion. My parents aren't aware of it and my kids won't be either.

It's been going on for 16 years now. How many years do you think it has left before people will forget all about it? Is it more or less than you thought five years ago?
