Patch 4.3: Blizzard's official preview of the End Time heroic dungeon

Unlike previous CoT instances, this one sends the players into the future after Deathwing wins, to help Nozdormu find the reason he's blocked from accessing the past -- specifically, to the time before the Demon Soul was hidden by Malfurion. Along the way, you're forced to battle various former Horde and Alliance leaders, now reduced to echoes of their former sanity, and then the mysterious, malefic maestro of madness Murozond, an anomaly in the timestream not even Nozdormu can unravel.
Check out all the screenshots and get a preview of the experience at the official site, already. Not even a Volkswagen Beetle van full of heavily armed people could stop me now.

I'm truly hating all these lore reveals in novels.

The only thing that's a bigger give away than his name is his goatee.
His awesome, AWESOME goatee.

Murozond is an anamgram of Nozdormu

Thank you, Captain Obvious. :)

Don't be hating, I didn't get Malyse's comment (right above) till I read this. The world needs a Captain Obvious to explain things to people like me who live under rocks.

So Nozdormu sees that it's his future to become a dungeon boss, and all this time his future self has been attempting to change the past to keep the Alliance and Horde from forming, thereby making it necessary for the Horde and Alliance to kill him and collect phat lewts. It's all parodoxical and timey-wimey.

Jeez, if you didn't figure THAT out back during the Past You/Future You quest in Northrend, you just weren't paying attention.

I didn't get it either, so thanks for posting!

I want a wallpaper of that image!

is that... Wyrmrest Temple?? O.o
Suzaku Sep 20th 2011 2:39AM
It is Deathwing impaled on the peak of Wyrmrest Temple.
Ysera had a vision of this in Twilight of the Aspects. Also present were the corpses of the other Aspects, all visibly killed by their own powers. It was heavily implied that Chromatus was their killer, though he hasn't been mentioned in any of the previews.

Hold onto your butts.

Yes, to you, some of us have not read the new novels yet, and have tried to avoid the spoilers. Thanks.

...these kinds of comments always baffle me, every time. If you're trying to avoid spoilers for the novels, why are you even on a WoW site? You know a novel just came out (or in this case a bunch) and that's all anyone going to be talking about on the site, anywhere. Are you just new to this sort of thing or something? This happens every time a new novel comes out, and people whine every time about being spoiled. It's just silly.
When the Harry Potter novels were coming out and I was trying to avoid spoilers, I just stayed off the internet until I could read them. And lo, I managed to be unspoiled for the entire series. Which was a much harder task than just avoiding WoW Insider/MMO-C/forums, btw--it's not like everyone and their cousin cares about WoW lore and wants to gush/rant about it. It's really not that difficult.

"...and have tried to avoid the spoilers."
Liar. Or maybe you're just very, very bad at it.
Artificial Sep 19th 2011 1:21PM
Just to clarify the logic here: you clicked the read more or comments link on a story on the blog that clearly has the word "preview" in the title. For you to claim you're trying to avoid spoilers after having done so is an obviously patent falsehood.
matt Sep 19th 2011 1:27PM
than log off and go read the damned books. If you care enough about the books that spoilers would ruin them for you, why have you not read them yet? I am willing to tolerate a 2-3 week embargo on "spoilers" but the Thrall book came out in JULY! Go read it or quit complaining.

The drake at the bottom of the preview looks awesome.
So does everything else, but yeah. Awesome drake.
