Unlike previous CoT instances, this one sends the players into the future after Deathwing wins, to help Nozdormu find the reason he's blocked from accessing the past -- specifically, to the time before the Demon Soul was hidden by Malfurion. Along the way, you're forced to battle various former Horde and Alliance leaders, now reduced to echoes of their former sanity, and then the mysterious, malefic maestro of madness Murozond, an anomaly in the timestream not even Nozdormu can unravel.

Getting new characters is great, even more when they're well-written, but what I was wishing for is that they'd stop mangling the ones we've had for a while now, that have been sidelined or cheapened in WoW. Did I even mention female? I said Jaina and Tyrande, two characters, yes, female, who inexplicably have done nothing or nearly nothing since WarIII ended. The most Jaina has done is go to ICC to run from Arthas and fail to be removed from the WarIII nostalgia raid. Tyrande has done literally nothing, when Malfurion should be the one standing in her shadow, as he was in WarIII.

One question: has a normal mode been confirmed yet? I'm trying to dodge most spoilers (yes, on a WoW news site, hence me asking you guys, not reading everything myself, but I'll take the ones I get to get this one answer)

They've only mentioned heroic-mode. Looks like we'll be missing out on normal modes yet again.

I never get this whole "waa I can't do this dungeon cos it's only herioc." Unless you have some specific and fairly rare reason for not being able to physically manage heroics, then I really can't see the big deal.
The whole "I'm too casual to get any sort of decent gear past twilight highlands quests" doens't really wash here, cos if you really were that casual about the game, you probably won't be particularly bothered about not being able to do this stuff.
I get people complaining about lore stuff happening in raids, because they really aren't available to everyone. But heroics aren't even heroic anymore, certainly not like the BC ones were.

So if we swipe the Demon Soul before Malfurion can hide it, does that mean Illidan was never corrupted by it? Is that the redemption Metzen said he wanted for the character?

So we get to fight Jaina, Tyrande, Sylvanas or a cow. Jaina needs to be spanked for being such a crybaby during the ICC-5 mans, Tyrande needs a WTF for going to Thrall's wedding with out setting a few assassins to take him out and Sylvanas needs a reality check so she can realize she's just following a certain someones foot steps. The cow is so we can have burgers when we down Nozdormu. Oops! I mean Murozond.

Sure, it may be nothing more than a shattered echo wandering the desolate earth in despair. But at long last ... I get to kill Tyrande. It may be too late to change anything, but I get to kill Tyrande.
My little night elf is *very* happy about this.

Anyone else hoping that we get to see a bit of Sylvanas' inner workings on why she did what she did. Whether it makes her go "By the Light, I'm going to be a monster..." or makes us see exactly what she wanted to do (Not just what the Apothecaries said she wanted) and why she wanted to do it. Maybe this fight will make some people stop hating her, or at the very least, gave them the kill they wanted so badly.

Awww man, I actually enjoyed all the meddling of the Infinite Dragonflight! I really hope with this, they're not ending their appearences on the game in the future.
Yeah, I did it!
All in all, these previews are simply amazing! I'm really digging the lore and concepts about these new dungeons. We'll have to wait and see them in action!
