That doesn't mean they play less tho, people can raid 5 hours and play a lot more than people that raid 10h with alts and other stuff. Raiding more can make you play less, consumables are now easily aquired for free in a guild and they aren't really nescessary for normal modes (my guild killed rag without flasks the first time due to us not having times for more than 1 attempt). In addition, you will actually spend less time with the zulroics time sink. On the other hand, if you have a bad raid group, you will add the wipe times with zulroics, what can be really bad for your RL.
So, it's very well worth it to get in a stablished guild and be raiding 10-11 hours the first couple of weeks of a patch and then 5 hours when everything is on farm then keep doing zulroics over and over. All it requires is a initial effort to learn your class and game mechanics.
