Just a guess.... but maby blizz ACTUALLY intends to make the nxt raid tier VERY challenging? and they believe that in an effort to even attempt most of 4.3 raid content u are going to need a pretty well geared toon? =)

The problem with that line of reasoning is that very few fights this expansion are simply about gear. If they're planning to make a brutally hard tier (which I'm totally ok with) and want to prepare everyone for it, then simply nerfing the current tier into oblivion and throwing gear at people is the WRONG way to go about it.

You don't train for a marathon by running a mile one day, a half mile the next, a quarter mile the next and then taking a month off.

My personal hope is that Normal mode T13 will be about as hard as Normal T12 and HM T13 will be really challenging, leaving the LFR difficulty level as a kind of "pre-nerfed" level, so we don't have to deal with this ridiculousness in the future.
