I agree, and I'm still shocked that the developers didn't see this coming. WotLK was designed to be more accessible than previous versions of the game and it actually *gained* a half million subscribers right smack in the middle of the biggest global economic downturn in generations. Cataclysm largely reversed that accessibility, subscriptions are down almost a million, and I'm sure that some highly placed folks at Activision have been giving GC and crew some pretty stern looks.
WoW is nowhere near failing, but losing $162 million in annual revenue is bound to spawn some course corrections.
