I'm wondering if the son ends up being part of the unit which was attacked from behind by the Horde while fighting the Scourge

That's the Wrath gate. The Alliance and Horde both got attacked by that treachery. Draenosh ( it means heart of Draenor in Orcish) was killed just before Bolvar and the rest got spanked by Grand Apothecary Putress' resignation letter.
She may be an evil monster, but the Banshee Queen would not have fired on her own troops that day. She needed them to get a better shot at Arthas.

No, there was an Alliance army that was pushing through the lower glaciers of Icecrown, fighting pushing the Scourge deeper into the zone. The Horde saw this and their commander took it as an opportunity to cause casualties to their enemy. They descended upon the Alliance forces, catching their flank while they were already hard fighting the Scourge.
The move completely decimated the Alliance forces, but also gave the Scourge time to regroup and subsequently crush the Horde forces, as well.

Oh that move. I seem to recall someone calling it "proof that Garrosh is a complete douchenozzle" when we first saw it.
Seriously, the biggest threat around and he has people doing stupid crap like that to the ones fighting them?
FYI: if anyone is killing Garrosh on Echo Isles and sees a BElf paladin cheering, that's probably me.

Loved that drawing of a nerubian face/head, very menacing. I think I'm starting to like this more then Safe Passage. Your dwarf drawing skills are amazing

WELL IT'S A CULTURAL THING, YOU XENOPHOBES! Why can't you all understand that all we want to do is KILL THE LIVING, I mean... we were unjustly killed and the rest of the world got to SURVIVE, how unfair is that?

Minor non-comic related complaint. This post didn't have the same Weekly Comic tag on it, so I almost missed it. I've stopped reading WoW Insider generally, but I'm still loving the comics, so the tags are pretty handy for finding these.
