One of the interesting details about WoW landscapes is that they don't hold still. It might sound like an obvious thing to experienced gamers, but take the time look at how the world around you is moving, changing, and living. These are little details that's easy to miss, because it's not like you see the world spinning by on a timelapse video.
Explore Timelapse by Mdaabil changes that. This video captures 88 zones in the space of seven minutes, stringing over 100,000 screenshots together into a coherent timelapse video. The creator kept the work in over 950 folders on his system while creating the video, finally choosing a mere 164 scenes for the final video.
Our hat's off to Mdaabil for a fun, inspiring video.

I thought that since The Barrens was a savannah, it would be nice to have a rainy season type event where the grass was lush and green and the gullies would fill up. Cataclysym kinda wrecked that.
Was hoping for a WoW version of Koyaanisqatsi though, comparing wilderness zones with timelapses of crowded Org or Stormwind set to Glass's soundtrack. That would have been epic.
Perhaps the most beautiful video I have seen featured on Moviewatch. My hat is eternally off to the creator, who has created here an unabashed work of simplistic art.
Nothing was really changing though, it was just sped up. I was hoping it would be a time lapse of actual changes like the building of the argent tournament or Cataclysm changes in places like Westfall.
Really neat to watch this and realize I can recognize almost every shot! I wasn't sure I liked the time lapse thing when it started but then I got into it and was totally mesmerized by the flickering movement and dancing landscapes. The music goes so well with the shots and it's so interesting - hats off to the creator who obviously put a lot into this work.

Would love to see improved weather effects introduced into WoW at some point in the future. Seasons would be awesome too.

The main thing I took away from this that I didn't notice before:
Female Orcs' idle animation is...oddly erotic.

I never noticed things like palm trees, the fire simbol atop sulfuron keep or grass moved...

Yeah, I also noticed the windows flashing and the shutters slamming open and closed in Pyrewood Village.

This was simply beautiful. It really helps to put into perspective the scope of the world... of warcraft, and really makes it seem alive.

If you want an even better experience, open that video, pause it, then mute it.
Then open this in another window.

Play it, then unpause the other video, and watch it, while listening to this second video.
It's awesome how well they went together.
They are near-equal lengths, too.

You are correct. That music clip does go together well with this video.

Where is the cloudy pillar with zeppelins coming and going around 3:30 in the video?
I don't recognize it and want to know where it is!!
Thanks in advance!
