BlizzCon's
merchandise preview sale has been going on for BlizzCon ticket holders for the past week, with lots of fun items. Mysteriously, the official BlizzCon T-shirts have absent artwork, signaling big announcements at the main keynote for the event.
Virtual ticket holders will be granted access to the BlizzCon merchandise preview sale
Friday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. Pacific. All you have to do is log into the Battle.net account that you purchased your virtual ticket under,
hit the Blizzard store, and you have early access to all of the BlizzCon official merchandise for the 2011 convention.
Probably the biggest surprise is the lack of T-shirt artwork for the official BlizzCon T-shirt, signaling a big, secret announcement that is important enough to revolve the entire convention around. New
WoW expansion? Most likely. Cool new artwork to add to a shirt? That's a pretty big deal. Virtual ticket holders will want to get in on the sale quickly, as many items sell out quickly. The store will see you virtual ticket holders
tomorrow.
Check out our gallery of some of the items available this year at the preview sale.
Brace yourselves for what could be some of most exciting updates to the game recently with patch 4.3. Look at what's ahead: new item storage options, cross-realm raiding, cosmetic armor skinning and your chance to battle the mighty Deathwing -- from astride his back!

It looks like the Panderan figure they put out two years ago. It was ridiculously expensive ($80) for a standard figure with a bamboo pole. It's a plastic figure, about 9 inches tall. At $80 I don't think they had many takers.
They put it half off in the online store awhile back.

Horde throw? Yes, please.

If my experience is anything to go by, the Horde Throw should be delivered fairly quickly.

The prices just keep going up and up.
I understand they lose money on BlizzCon, and the ticket prices keep going up, and that's one thing. But the merchandising is just getting way out of hand in their prices.
Posters for around $30? (if I remember correctly), Things like towels at $30?
That plastic and probably rubber Doomhammer? It's $130. Let me put that into perspective. That's a bit under half the price of the metal replica of Frostmourne, and about the same price as the latex version of Frostmourne.
Some of the things aren't bad, but wow, some of them are high as shit.

I'm more curious to know when I'm going to get my barcode e-mails for the actual event!

Not sure about the "?" key art items having to do with a WoW xpac spoiler. Note that the official Diablo 3 design is also hidden... and that would actually be integral to the key art this year.

BlizzCon 2009 starts on August 21. If you are attending, I believe you can pick up your badges and goody bags the day before.

This kind of spambot, huh? Pulls semirelated stuff from other sites, and posts it in an attempt to look legit.
However, it fails hilariously here by quoting "BlizzCon 2009".
