Breakfast Topic: What will you be wearing the first day of transmogrification?

Since the announcement of the new transmogrification system in patch 4.3, I've been thinking a lot about what sets I'd like to collect for my character. My main is a Blood Elf paladin, so naturally I've been grabbing a friend to blaze through Blackwing Lair once a week to finish off my Judgement set. However, I am certain on day one of the update, Azeroth will be filled with pallies rocking the same duds.
How can a fashionable Sin'dorei stand out in the crowd? I did some research online and have been reminded of a number of great sets that aren't raid tier but look just as good. I finally settled on the very blood-knightish Red Lawbringer (at least for my retribution gear set), easily farmed out of various Burning Crusade regular and heroic dungeons. As for my alt death knight, I've been traveling to Dalaran weekly to spend his excess justice points on tier 10, because (as I'm sure we can all agree) there aren't many things in this world more wicked-looking than a Worgen in Scourgelord Battlegear!
What gear will you be wearing on patch day? Are you collecting an old tier set (or have you saved a favorite in your bank all this time)? Or are you putting together a more avant-garde look? Will you have different transmog looks for particular gear sets? Or does all this doll-dressing business not interest you in the least?

My Warrior will probably be wearing the Imperial Armor Set with matching Shield because I got rid of my other sets way before this change was announced. (Thanks Blizzard!)
My Rogue will be rocking the Defias Armor Set. My Clothies still have some old sets in their inventory so I will have to dust them off to see what is what.

Any cool-looking set (Tier or assembled) that does not include those planet-sized shoulder pieces... I will finally be able to see my neck again, first time since T4'ish. Good times.

Since my paladin is a proud member of the Argent Crusade, she will be wearing either the tier 6 or the tier 9 Argent Tournament set, with the Highlord's Favor shield and the old Argent Dawn lightsaber- I have hung onto it for years as a souvenir, so it will be nice to get to use it again.
Haro Sep 23rd 2011 9:28AM
Also, don't forget the "almost official" set of the Argent Crusade:

(Drops mostly from ToC reg/heroic, except chest that can be bought with honor points in northrend).
Now, if i could get that cool argent crusade shield...

I'll be wearing my Skyshatter regalia and hopefully Apostle of Argus if it drops for me before hand.

I'm torn. I have a lovely set of tier 1 for my mage, but I've been waffling a great deal on my paladin. If I manage to get T12 shoulder drops before the patch hits I'll probably stay in mostly T12. But I've been assembling a set of slutty gear as a joke and I'm tempted to wear that to our first raid.

Well if I can get it for my shaman (a wildhammer dwarf): http://roleplaygear.wordpress.com/2011/06/12/gryphon-mail-wildhammer/
Otherwise probably a combo of green iron with a fel iron coif.
The desired look is for a practical dwarf wearing practical armor.
Fletcher Sep 23rd 2011 8:55AM
You could look into the various bits of 346 JP vendor mail (I believe the old bloodthirsty crafted stuff shares the same model); it's also green and fairly practical.

I'll be wearing my "Knight of Stormwind" outfit. It's a combination of my Stormwind Guard costume and some of the Level 60 PVP gear. Oh, and carrying Ravencrest's Legacy.
wollsmoth Sep 23rd 2011 9:01AM
Wildheart Set! I'm so happy I farmed that up, I was orginally saving it for a FigurePrints statue (back when they only printed what your character was wearing at the time). Its not enough for me to be covered in feathers just in moonkin form!
Necromann Sep 23rd 2011 9:02AM
My warrior is going to wear his lvl 50 class quest head piece.
HankD Sep 23rd 2011 9:07AM
For my ret pally, I gathered up (quite cheaply) the level 60 horde-pally epic PvP set... it's the perfect blood knight set.
HankD Sep 23rd 2011 9:39AM
Here's the link to the ret pally set (with the Sindorei Warblade, so glad I kept it!)...

The staff's a placeholder 'til I figure out what I want there.

My hunter is going to be wearing an outfit kinda thrown together that *looks* serviceable as a hunter with a little bit of bling. It involves a couple of PvP pieces (chest and gloves), boots that have that "folded down top" look; the shoulders provide the most "bling," using the model of a mail caster drop in SSC. The most important part, however, is the bow... And I haven't been able to get a SWP run going to even attempt getting it yet! D:
This is my first time linking an item comparison from Wowhead, so apologies beforehand if it's screwed up: http://www.wowhead.com/compare?items=30097:56559:51459:71255:40643:34196:14522:39236;17711;25655
The boots are kinda interchangeable, even though the Trespasser Boots go with the gloves much better than the Felscale Boots. Oh, and ignore the other leggings. Those were kinda there for... -cough- you know, *those* sorts of raid nights with the hubby.

I'm going to wear a combination of Ghostwalker and Boneshredder gear, to look something like this: http://roleplaygear.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/ghostwalker-set/, together with the Cenarion Helm (http://www.wowhead.com/item=16834).

Paladin - T9 with Royal Crest of Lordaeron shield and a simple Vanilla sword (undecided which) She's the ginger T9 clad female making a little background appearance with her fellow Silver Hand Paladins here: http://beyondthetree.wordpress.com/2011/03/10/255b-ominous-missive/
Rogue - Bloodfang.... Darkmantle Dungeon 0.5 .... though most likely 'Scouting' green leathers with a pair of SI:7 daggers. Nhani just made her look too good in them! http://nhani.wordpress.com/2011/03/24/random-render-bridle-kong/
Priest - T5 though still waiting on the matching staff to drop to complete that look.
Warlock - T5, weapon undecided still :s
Sinderion Sep 23rd 2011 6:33PM
Mage, Worgen - T4, some dont like it, i do.
Pally, Human - Judgement at least for healing, maybe stormwind guard type thing for prot :D
Rogue, Gnome - Bloodfang for pvp mwahahaha Probably troll stuff + goggles for pve keeping those giant green 'daggers' :D
Priest, Nelf - T6... i wish, havent even started that...
Shaman, Dwarf - Wildhammer lookalike stuff mentioned above, depending on how much i can get ahold of.
DK - Nelf, when my current one gets 80+, prolly t10 :D
Warr - Cow, havent started but would love wrath for prot and t5 for dps
Anything past mage-pally-rogue is dependant on how much this actually costs...

I visited Archmage Doan a couple of times recently and he kindly gave me his Robe and Shoulders. Shows off my female Orcs abs beautifully :D
Jaq Sep 23rd 2011 9:22AM
It depends on how they sell the DK starter set at Acherus. If it's gold, then it'll be that. If it's JP, I'll be waiting until I can buy it all unless it costs less than 4000 JP. My other set to mog is my t10-I have four sets of the 251 tank and the 264 DPS, so that might come out until I get the starter set.
