Breakfast Topic: What will you be wearing the first day of transmogrification?

Since the announcement of the new transmogrification system in patch 4.3, I've been thinking a lot about what sets I'd like to collect for my character. My main is a Blood Elf paladin, so naturally I've been grabbing a friend to blaze through Blackwing Lair once a week to finish off my Judgement set. However, I am certain on day one of the update, Azeroth will be filled with pallies rocking the same duds.
How can a fashionable Sin'dorei stand out in the crowd? I did some research online and have been reminded of a number of great sets that aren't raid tier but look just as good. I finally settled on the very blood-knightish Red Lawbringer (at least for my retribution gear set), easily farmed out of various Burning Crusade regular and heroic dungeons. As for my alt death knight, I've been traveling to Dalaran weekly to spend his excess justice points on tier 10, because (as I'm sure we can all agree) there aren't many things in this world more wicked-looking than a Worgen in Scourgelord Battlegear!
What gear will you be wearing on patch day? Are you collecting an old tier set (or have you saved a favorite in your bank all this time)? Or are you putting together a more avant-garde look? Will you have different transmog looks for particular gear sets? Or does all this doll-dressing business not interest you in the least?

My main is a DK which has been a bit disappointing because while I can--and do--help guildies get their old tier gear there is none for me. I like the idea of DK starter plate, but I will have to rebuy it.
I might wear T10 again though. I really liked that set.
Otherwise I have been looking for random plate sets that might look cool. So far I haven't found the exact look I want. I collect weapons so I expect to cycle through them fairly often.
My druid will wear the blue recolor of Bloodfang armor. I don't care if it is for rogues. It is pretty and will match her hair. She is a kitty most of the time anyway.
I don't really like most druid gear because it is either brown (yuck!) or a dress and a dress makes no sense for a feral druid. (To me anyway)
My pally will likely wear some set of random plate. I haven't decided for her yet. I might go with T4 or T5 for her though. On day one she will be staying in her normal clothes because she is my least played 85.
My mage is the easiest to dress. There are so many pretty cloth drops in this game.
She has almost full T1 and I also have other outfits for her composed of pretty random drops. ^^
My evil Gnome priestess will also wear random pretty drops. The sky is really the limit with a clothie. She will also always have her goggles on--likely rose colored glasses unless another set matches her clothes better. She is still leveling and so has no end game gear.
My rogue will be in complete Blackened Defias gear if they ever put it all back in the game. Otherwise she will dress in random leather drops that I have combined to make a pleasing sneaky set. She is my banker and usually dresses like a Twilight Cultist. Too bad I can't transmog that. XD

I have seen people compliment the Cobalt set. It was the crafted entry-level tanking set in Wrath of the Lich King.
I think it's 25 bars of Cobalt, and that's it. Not counting the shield, since you can't wear it.
Here's the set. http://www.wowhead.com/compare?items=39086:39085:39084:39083:39087:41974:39088:41975

oooh...I quite like that. Blue is my favorite color. ^^
Thanks for the link. I had forgotten about crafted gear. Doh!

Np. If you have a miner, it's quite cheap to make. If they haven't changed the mats, the entire set can be made by a 375 Blacksmith for 37 bars of Cobalt, nothing more. (I thought it was 25 without the shield, it's not.)
There's also a brown version, the next level up, called the Spiked Cobalt set.

Honor Hold Defender, for me. It'll be Bold Armor, head to toe, the level 60 pvp shield, and the Northshire Battlemace until I find something better. I'm very open to suggestions for a mace, or sword, really. I'll finish it with an Honor Hold tabard. Helm will have to be turned off; since 4.1 the bold helm has should up as the black recolour of it.
I'm also thinking of a more practical look based on the Overlord armors, the Stromgarde shield, I'd just have to get a Stromgarde-ish tabard, I'm still rather far from exalted with Arathi Basin *sigh*.
Johnzim Sep 23rd 2011 9:28AM
Yep, Nether-Lace Robe.
Junzim wears a Twilight Cultist Robe - and it looks fine in most lights. But when everything is clear and you zoom in, the purple shines through when it should be red.
An acceptable replacement would also have been the Mage High Warlord's battlegear (the lvl 60 ones) since he wears the Stoneguard Tabard which would cover the front - but he's not a Mage, he's a Priest. You may see a pattern emerging with regards to Mages having the few RP pieces I want! haha!
I think I've used the Ritual Shroud before without it looking quite right but I'll take another look - thanks for the suggestion!
ZA/ZG gear might also be possible - It's just so hard to find anything that looks rugged with relatively little sleeve coverage!

I will be wearing exactly the same gear as the day before. Transmogrification? Bah, Humbug!
darkjapheth Sep 23rd 2011 9:38AM
Well. Originally, I planned on going t5 warlock or t6 warlock like -everyone else-, but I hit a slight snag.
I race changed to troll approximately seven seconds after it became an option. Unfortunately, no warlock sets were really designed with trolls in mind- T5 looks stupid as all hell, t6 is kind of boring (and you look like Hex-lord, which is meh), and the icecrown tier is disgusting.
The answer lies in Ulduar- the ravenpriest looking set, that putress wears? Is oddly badass looking on a troll. Yay for that.

My feral troll Druid will be wearing her murkblood set.
Gimmlette Sep 23rd 2011 9:46AM
Until there is Void Storage, I'm not collecting anything for Transmogrification. I don't have the space to be toting around sets of gear. And, the only thing I'm changing the look of is my gun and I can solo get the one I want.
Faroth Sep 23rd 2011 10:03AM
I'll be wearing Tier 4 chest/legs with Tough Scorpid Shoulders, Renegade Boots, a mail belt from the old Shadowfang Keep, and gloves (I think from SM).
I've been doing custom Transmog sets for others that want to have a more unique design too.

I,ll be wearing the same thing I have on now. Transmorg is just another lame Blizzard attempt to keep people form getting bored.
Drakkenfyre Sep 23rd 2011 12:03PM
Except, you know, people have been asking for it quite literally since the game came out. That makes it hard to be "another lame thing" is doing "to keep people from being bored."

@drakkenfyre
You can do that quest chain in about 15 minutes at level 85. I did that one recently with my mage for the ioun stone-style helm (the one with the three floating gems).
Nick Sep 23rd 2011 10:07AM
I'll be wearing full t4, because that was my first raiding experience in WoW. Besides that, i'm searching for something rare that not many people will think of
exogenesis. Sep 23rd 2011 10:10AM
My hunter will be wearing her Gronnstalker's set. There is something really rather awesome about having giant, blinking red eyes on your shoulders.
joshbuddha Sep 23rd 2011 10:14AM
I have my full t6 on my hunter along with black bow of the betrayer and the spear from najentus (straight out of BC)
Piper Sep 23rd 2011 10:15AM
My main, a paladin, will be wearing *the* iconic armor set as her main tank set. I just love the rich, autumn colors it has as those colors remind me of my late wife. Add the golden shield from the Quel'Danas quartermaster and Ravencrest's Legacy and she'll be good to go. For her ret gear she'll be using her complete set of Soulforge as the silver and purple look are very Draenei-ish. I just need to get the hammer from the High King and she'll be set.
My three Hands of A'dal (druid, hunter, priest) will be wearing the look of the gear they used in BC.
Shinae Sep 23rd 2011 10:32AM
My plate-wearers are going to tank in bikinis.
trottermtg Sep 23rd 2011 10:46AM
Giantstalker or Gronnstalker!
