Agreed. Probably just a plethora of Xpac leaks at that time.

@Lokan
I think we'll be hearing about the XPac at Blizzcon, they'd never release it via. Forums and expect people to check news sites. I think my news senses are tingling - and I can't WAIT for the B'Con. :]
Oh, and I also can't wait to turn my Ruthless Pike into Thunderstrike

4.2 was on the ptr for 2 months, still had bugs when it was released, and only contained one raid with seven bosses and no major features. 4.3 will have 3 new five mans, transmog, looking for raid, and an 8 boss raid. The ptr could go up today and it'd still be a time crush to get it tested by the 20th of December.

2+ month PTR times are extremely common for full patches, actually. As DragonFireKai said, there is actually quite a bit of content to test with a large variety of bug opportunities.

DragonFireKai, 4.2 PTR went up in May and went live in June. Just FYI.

Good points. It doesn't seem like so long during the PTR, so 2 months sounds so far.

4.2 also went live with a whole slew of new dailies, a new zone, new quest mechanics, the Legendary quest chain, the Thrall quest chain, and the Dungeon Journal (no new features?).

I was hoping for a halloween release (to coincide with transmogrification and everyone spiffing up).
A december release... that's "break out the console games" territory hehe.

Loop, patch 4.2 hit the ptr on May 2nd, and went live June 28th. You'll forgive me if we came 5 days short of 2 full months. And quest chains and basic UI elements are nothing in terms of coding and testing when ompared to a single trash pull in a raid instance, much less entire dungeons and a complex matchmaker system in the lfr tool.

DragonFireKai, I'm sorry. I wasn't able to find an exact date, and everything seemed to indicate either the 10th or later.
I did find this, though: Patch 3.3 was on PTR for just a little over 2 months (~68 days), and it's content was far more comparable to Patch 4.3.
