The Queue: Lodur, Herald of the Elements

Looks like our good friend Joe Perez has finally made it big, if this card from the preview event for the WoW TCG Throne of the Tides expansion has anything to say about it. Congratulations, Joe. Seriously, you even got Jonboy Meyers as your artist.
Lastgaurdian asked:
Has WoWinsider ever considered reaching out to role-play servers a bit? I find that Know Your Lore and All The World's a Stage is quite helpful for knowledge, but I feel that some communities and guilds therein could use a lot of help and WoWinsider is a strong enough force to do that.
Well, roleplaying is the task of the roleplayer, and our RP column is pretty much all we can do to "reach out" to roleplayers. AtWaS covers a lot of ground; I don't really feel like it's lacking for much in terms of content. The rest is up to you.
FireMaster asked:
Do you think there's any indication that Rexxar will have a major role in the future or do you think his story is over?
There's been no indication of anything regarding Rexxar at all lately, much less that his story is over.
Quaza asked:
Why does every column start with a picture or banner of some sort?
So there's some visual differentiation in between articles when viewing our blog roll.
Ylinae asked:
Do you think there's any chance, what with transmogrification allowing greater visual customization, that druids will see an option to reclaim their old, permanent tree form?
If you mean "will Blizzard let me be a treant permanently," then no, I don't think that'll happen. The glyph that lets you be the old, ugly treant for as long as Tree of Life Form is active is probably as close as you're going to get.
MusedMoose asked:
Do you think BioWare's announcement that SW: TOR will be released on December 20th will have any effect on when we see patch 4.3?
I think 4.3 will be released when it's done; I'm not really sure that Blizzard can afford to hold out until December, even in the face of SWTOR. I think we're looking at a November-something-th release date -- not before BlizzCon, not during BlizzCon, but shortly after.

Q for the Q:
Does the Queue come out an hour later now?
Arrohon Sep 25th 2011 12:13PM
From what I've seen the Q comes out at 11 EST during the week and at 12 EST on weekends.
xEsaul Sep 25th 2011 12:18PM
It's always out 12 EST on weekends.

@Andre
Ahem... Eastern Daylight Time.

Please be considerate to our non-US-and-Canada friends, for whom the whole idea of changing what time it is based on the season may seem a little strange or outmoded, and for whom the times listed above are not correct under EST, but are under EDT.

I'm American and I think that Daylight Savings time is a little strange and outmoded at this point. :)
Noyou Sep 26th 2011 3:30AM
Yeah. Most of us US citizens don't care for daylight savings time either. In particular how it f*cks up your bio clock when it get's pitch black in winter shortly after 5pm. Not like another hour would be huge, but it's rather annoying. If you are that particular about the exact time I suggest you get a watch or app on your phone that tells you the exact time in major parts of the world. I don't even have a smart phone but my cheesy little phone does it. And yes, it is currently daylight savings time in the US for a few more weeks. /frown.

Daylight savings time is OP and needs a nerd.
Phaelan Sep 27th 2011 9:56PM
Daylight savings was started originally during WW2 to help with energy conservation. It was expanded years later to what we knew before 2004/5 with only Indiana and Arizona not observing it. When Indiana started debating on going to DST Rep, Fred Upton (R, MI) read about it in the local paper and put forward the law that changed DST to it's current form which expanded it by 4 weeks (2 in the spring and 2 in the fall)

I still miss permanent tree of life. Haven't healed on my druid much since it was removed. It just doesn't have the same feeling.
Gennifurfur Sep 25th 2011 12:29PM
I haven't missed it at all. If I was any other race than Tauren, it would probably bother me, but then again, why would I do that?
Hollow Leviathan Sep 25th 2011 12:53PM
I really just will not play my druid until they give me back perma-tree. I rolled a tree healer, not a night elf. Stop reminding me of that undesirable side-effect!

Glyph of permanent treant, elder form when you use the CD.
Glyph of permanent elder, caster form on CD.
Glyph of permanent elder, treant form on CD ...
You get the picture.
All that's left is to keep the chickens and ferals from using OUR glyph. Possibly something like "After your Tree Form next expires, you will be a treant for 10 minutes." It would also need a little trick to deal with double-glyphing these. We can probably borrow whatever Polymorph: Monkey, Pig, and Penguin uses.

I haven't really missed it much. I love the druid healing style, and their versatility, so nothing could really make me give up on druid healing, but you don't really miss it much. Especially toward the end of wrath there I would hardly spend any time in tree form in dungeons, because I wanted to DPS in my spare time, and in raids it was almost an annoyance for the times when I had to do something that broke it (eg, cycloning MCed people in Lady Deathwhisper). The fact that I had to give up an extra GCD so that I didn't gouge my ability to heal is also something I don't miss. I don't really LOOK at my character much in raids (I'm more "aware of where my character is" rather than actually looking at her), and outside of raids I didn't spend a lot of time in tree form anyway (mostly flight form or in caster form on top of a mount, you know?). Probably what contributed to it is that I love the new tree form, so getting that even some of the time was an upgrade to having the old one all the time (for me personally).

Feels just fine to me :/.

For the record, I rolled a Night Elf Healer that was later turned into a Tree Healer...
Kole Sep 25th 2011 2:15PM
I rolled a Treant and not I am just a fat cow...
