The kind of work I do involves bursts of productive coding separated by periods of mental problem solving and short periods of needing to clear my head. By one definition, I'm only productive when I'm actively typing out code, but the reality is that I need those periods of sitting there thinking, as well as needing to take a break and do something else, in order to be productive. I'm very comfortable reading this website for 10-15 minutes when I just need to do something different.If someone happens to have a problem with it, I can compare just how productive 5 hours of project kickoff meetings in an 8 hour workday is. :)
