Patch 4.3 PTR: Hunters, do not be alarmed

Do not be alarmed -- these aren't really happening.
What you're seeing in the datamined files are tooltip updates. Steady Shot and Cobra Shot have always been 2-second casts. They are right now. Aimed Shot is indeed currently a 2.9-second base cast. And Chimera Shot does indeed do nature damage already. These are not changes to hunter abilities, but just the files finally catching up to report correctly on the way it's always been. Also the Kill Shot change is also a tooltip update rather than a buff.
The only change so far is the increased attack power for melee folks from our Trueshot Aura buff, as well as from all the other classes that provide it -- oh, and the addition of a nice endgame raiding gun, at long last. Assuming it doesn't later turn into a crossbow or daggers or something.

I'm confused. The tooltips haven't been updated yet? Then how come mine shows a 1.76 second cast time, with haste factoring in? If it hadn't been updated yet wouldn't the cast time be lower than 1.5 seconds?
And the same is true when I'm actually casting the shot...

It's a clientside tooltip update. Currently the way the spells actually work is they have a 1.5-second cast time and a forced 0.5 additional time (it's weird). The server side understands how it all works together, but the client-side tips are now being updated.

This is an amazing looking set, great detail and even greater set bonuses! Waited a long time to see this set, totally worth the wait. Great choice to return to pay honor to the horribad Dragonstalker colored set that hid the hunters greatest gear choice... dragonparts!
Even the chest piece looks amazing, and with all the horns & fangs woven threw the gear, hunters finally have the best looking tier gear.

Vogon poetry = A torture method used by the Vogons. The Vogons are a fictional alien race from the planet Vogsphere in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams, who are responsible for the destruction of the Earth, in order to facilitate an intergalactic highway construction project. Vogons are slug-like but vaguely humanoid, are bulkier than humans, and have green skin. In the motion picture they are depicted as having greyish white skin. Vogons are described as mindlessly bureaucratic, aggressive, having "as much sex appeal as a road accident" and the writers of "the third worst poetry in the universe". They are employed as the galactic government's bureaucrats.
