Personally, I'm peeved that they didn't give us the chance to kill one of the really annoying Alliance leaders. Jaina is meh. Tyrande has been useless since the end of Warcraft III. And Baine, he's cool, I can't see myself ever looking forward to killing him.
Hopefully the story will be well enough executed in the dungeon itself to stir up a bit more motivation.

Baine and Jaina surprised me, but I can kind of see Tyrande. She did kill those Wardens, after all.

The only reason I can think that Varian isn't in there, is because he would have been one of the first leaders to fall. I mean come on, he would have been out in the field just taking everyone on, and just get overwhelmed after a time. (I really wish he still had 2 swords.)
I'll be honest though, I think it would have been kind of cool to end up fighting Anduin instead. But it seems like there are already a few too many priest bosses in cata.

People would be lined up to kill Varian and/or Garrosh. It'd be like Gamon all over again.

(pushed edit TOO SOON, EXECUTUS!)
And at least half the people in line for each would be same-faction, of course.
