Earlier this morning, I popped on to the PTR to test out patch 4.3 and jump into the new 5-man dungeons coming with the new patch. The first dungeon in the three-part series is End Time, where the players are escorted into the future by Nozdormu to do battle with echoes of the past and to confront Murozond, the leader of the Infinite Dragonflight.
This was my first run-through of the dungeon, and you can watch me as I learn the new fights and explore the new instance. It's a fun learning experience full of mistakes, Dungeon Journal reading, and unmitigated excitement. Brace yourselves for what could be some of most exciting updates to the game recently with patch 4.3. Review the official patch notes, and then dig into what's ahead: new item storage options, cross-realm raiding, cosmetic armor skinning and your chance to battle the mighty Deathwing -- from astride his back!
Yeah, so we killed Murozond. This isn't actually that much of an impediment to a time traveler. It just means that he has to be in that time, at that place, and die. Right up until we port to the Bronze Dragonshrine he can travel as far forward or as far back as he likes - he's got all eternity to plot and scheme and attempt to subvert his fate.
Plus don't we erase the existence of the End Time timeline, thereby undoing his death?
Either way, I don't think that this is a major impediment to Murozond going forward; I could still see an Infinite Dragonflight expansion somewhere down the line. Possibly the reason he's weak enough to be 5-manned in End Time is because just before we zone in, a 25-man raid of level 100 players zones *out*?
Time travel, man. That wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff gonna mess you up.
While the think the dungeon its self was pretty fun, it's not very challenging... I did it on a few different toons yesterday with nothing but pick-up groups who all know as little as I did about them if not less, and we only wiped 1 time between all 3 runs. Hell, the healer even died in like the first 30 seconds fighting Slyvanas, and the tank and I dpsed her down by ourselves, with me throwing a few heals his way when he needed them. Not entirely sure I understand the mechanic behind the last boss either, we only got the buff once, and we weren't sure how we did it... lol
I apologize if this question has been asked before, or if the answer is mentioned in the video... I am at work right now, and for some reason the connection here is a bit slow today, so I cant watch it without some annoying buffer-breaks, but: Does anyone know what the required or recommended ilvl will be for the new instances? I am sure there will be an ilvl-requirement again for the LFD tool, does anyone know what it is? Once again, sorry if thats been answered before! Thanks so much
And Blizzard wonders why people are not excited by new content, when it's explored, filmed, analyzed, and dissected for weeks before it's "really" available?
Oh, I understand the QA value of having hundreds and thousands of dedicated and generally-skilled (free of charge) people attacking your designs aggressively; even if they're inconsistent about reporting bugs, they'll still generate logs and error messages.
This just in: newly married couples are finding the honeymoon night less interesting when they've been hitting it regularly for years in advance.
I think a new expansion/content patch would be more impressive if they did their own QC beta work and dropped it on us without months of exhaustive coverage in advance.
"This just in: newly married couples are finding the honeymoon night less interesting when they've been hitting it regularly for years in advance."
Clearly you are either not married, or you were doing it wrong on the wedding night.
That said, no one forces players to review this material, in game or out. It's fairly well marked as PTR content. If it ruins anyones enjoyment of the game, they have only themselves to blame. Not Blizzard.
"Clearly you are either not married, or you were doing it wrong on the wedding night. " I didn't say NOT interesting, I said LESS interesting. What, you did something "special" on your wedding night that you hadn't tried before? Whatever floats your boat, I'm going to stick by what I said - if you have sex for years before the honeymoon, (that part of) the honeymoon is going to be intrinsically less exciting. Fairly logical.
"no one forces players to review this material" Please. Is there a website I've missed that talks about the game, rotations, gear, etc. and general news WITHOUT exhaustively discussing all the new PTR changes and every new instance in detail? I'd love to hear about it.

Ok, Murozond is alive. But even Lolygos needed 10 poeple and 1 Alextrasza to be killed :P

I hope they will tweak bosses so that dungeon was harder
Killik Sep 29th 2011 10:35AM
PTR is not mean to be challenging. They tune the difficulty once they've got the abilities debugged.
