I kinda agree with you both. I love the discovering and learning by trial and error when I'm with my guild mates. In PuGs, however, I will look up the tactics beforehand because I know that, outside of the first few hours after the dungeon has gone live, there will be people who've already done it, and it gets old very very quickly having to explain complicated tactics or wiping on the same mistakes over and over again when one has already gone through that "learning experience". Everything has its time and place, imho :-)
