WoW Insider's Weekly Webcomic: Safe Passage -- The Prologue
Welcome to the next edition of WoW Insider's Weekly Comic, Safe Passage: The Prologue.
This was supposed to be a time when your most hated enemy put aside any differences and fought for the greater good. Sadly, things don't always turn out the way we want.
Check out the full comic right here, and tune in next Wednesday for a new page. You can also see all the previous pages in the gallery below.

Guess that answers where he bites it.
Shame, I was kinda hoping to break the cliche and have the kid not die. : /
Curious to see where it goes from here.
Dude Sep 28th 2011 7:06PM
Ooh, Kissless in last panel?
Dude Sep 28th 2011 7:06PM
I mean 3rd panel ;)
Tamoran Sep 28th 2011 7:28PM
Kissless may be a bit of a hot headed killer, but something tells me she wouldn't assist in THAT slaughter. Hell, that shamed every single Horde player that went through it...made me switch factions.

Pretty sure that's not Kissless... between the sleeve of the elf's garment that totally looks like that of a robe, and the way she's holding her hand that appears to be a powerful offensive casting posture, she is most likely a Mage (though possibly a Warlock or Priest, I suppose). But definitely not a pally like Ms. Stormcrow, at least from where I'm sitting.
Cadychan Sep 28th 2011 11:40PM
That is not Kissless. I think Garrosh rubs her the wrong way.
Dude Sep 29th 2011 6:05AM
I hate to break it to you but Garrosh was a mere padawan at the time of that battle. Thrall was in charge during WotLich King so who knows... and Pali's can still cast spells ;)
thebitterfig Sep 29th 2011 11:32AM
Rub Kissless the wrong way, and I'd bet you'd get your hand broken...
deepred Sep 28th 2011 8:50PM
Yep, looks like the Broken Front alright.

Great story so far.
Yeah. . . I remember that quest chain. I was disgust by it, being a pro-horde and feral druid. It was like really? So much for my Honor bound members of the Horde. I am not on a RPing sever, but I would have loved to have smack the commander that ordered the attck.
And seeing his son killed that way, I dont think Pappa Dwarf would have had a warm reception for our two Hordies Ash'gor and Mig if he would have met them out in the Barrens.
Please keep up the good work, Kelly

Only two things wrong: The women in the middle panel with the elf looks wonky
And the Alliance would never retreat from a horde attack. ;)
One of the best pieces of lore in the game, it cements hatred between the sides. Well mainly hating horde cus it was a gank (a failed one) on their part. Id love to see Dwarf dude rip off the killer orc's arm and beat him death with it.
Heheh sorry, playing too much GoW3.
Dude Sep 29th 2011 5:16AM
As a Horde I've seen the Alliance run away quite a few times. >:D

I'm planning on writing the prologue as a transmission via a video camera, but I've done it in present tense, where as the rest of the novel is in past tense.

I love how the point-of-view is clearly expressed here. Strictly speaking, the splinter faction of the Forsaken was indeed trying to destroy "th' enemy of all livin' things," just trying to destroy everyone else along with him.
It's good that this isn't some sort of neutral presentation. Really gets into the heart of the renewed conflict. Being a Horde-for-life, it's sometimes hard to understand the rage of the Alliance over this. Traitors against the Horde snuff out the life of our brightest young warriors, most notably in Saurfang the Younger, and we lost many also in purging the Undercity of the Burning Crusade. Without Thrall and those loyal Horde, that Mad Dog 'king' of the Alliance would have run straight into Kil'jaden, not something he could have dealt with.

How did I miss this and HOW is it already on the second page? Man my timing sucks.
/sniff :(
Ya brought tears to my eyes again Kelly! I hope the kid isn't going to be scourgified, but I have a bad feeling he will be.

And Ive seen little hordies stealth as soon as I land in Ratchet, but thats not part of official story line either.
Im curious why I was downvoted. My big mouthed bluntness often gives me black and blue, but I didnt say anything outstanding this time round.
