This is not what I would have like to have seen. While is does give you a taste of the final raids ... it robs you of many of the benefits. You are penalized if you can only use the raid finder due to being in a small guild or low population server.

"many of the benefits"...um, do you just mean Legendaries? That's the only real difference. The 'loot lockout' mimics regular raids, and a lower ilvl for easier content is to be expected.

No valor points or justice points, and with rolling NBG against 24 other people I'll be rolling against all main specs, offspecs, "I might use this someday" specs, and "my button lit up so I hit Need" specs. You also can't do achievements and once you've gotten all the loot from the RRF level fo difficulty, you still need to grab groups on your home realm the old fashiond way.Plus, this is only for the Dragon Soul raid. If you want to raid FL or BOT/BWD after 4.3, you have to do it the old fashioned way.It just seems like it could have been a whole lot more.

I don't think it's as bad as the penalty you're currently suffering for being in a small guild or low-pop realm regarding raiding.

So to you, having a system provided that lets one do something that hasn't been available previously is a penalty? Since without the LFR tool the people in a small guild or a low pop server wouldn't be in the raid at all.
