A tiny pony struggled to keep up, its back slightly bent by the massive kegs of beer. It sighed with relief when the men stopped for a rest in Hillsbrad.
"No way of knowing which way they came," Throgg grunted. "I think we catch them from Menethil."
The Gilnean nodded. "I can go into town and ask after her. Since the changes in the Wetlands, Menethil hasn't had nearly the traffic. Someone might have noticed a little girl by herself; they would definitely notice some Grimtotem."
"What will we do in the meantime?" Lolegolas pondered.
"Drink," Throgg replied. He gestured to the pony. "Portable Brewfest. Party on the hoof!"
The druid look bemused. "You keep a keg pony on hand?"
Lolegolas blinked in response. "You mean, you don't?"
Type Item in your inventory
Use Right-click to summon a beer-toting Keg Pony for 3 minutes (30-minute cooldown).
How to get it Gather 200 tokens and buy it during Brewfest. Hurry, though! Time's running low.
How to get rid of it You'll have to delete it, but why would you do such a thing?

The original Pony Keg is something that is always in my toon's bags. Never know when you're going to need a drink.

Oh dear...now I see all of them very drunk. Pinkie is leading the debauchery with one of her sudden parties.
Twilight Sparkle is one of those clingy drunks who loves everyone. Fluttershy is a mean drunk. Pinkie...really is no different. Applejack just stares into space and tells jokes no one thinks are funny but her. Rarity falls asleep after one drink. Rainbow Dash gets dizzy after drinking an entire keg and throws up and then she drinks some more until she passes out.
Poor Spike is disgusted with it all, though secretly he wishes that baby dragons were old enough to drink too.

As soon as I saw it existed it became my mission to make sure my main had one. Day two. My alt is taking her time amassing the required tokens now that she has her title, but she should have enough soon for one of her own.

We've had costumes so nuts (stupid!) that the wearers needed help to move so, subject to health and safety regulations, I guess animal-based entertainment is the next logical step.

To paraphrase what someone told me when I asked in the Queue a while ago, "getting the Pony Keg means you have free beer. Getting the Keg Pony though means you have free beer that follows you around. Plus, you get a cute horse."

I was kinda bummed when I picked up the keg pony that it wasn't a real pet. Instead, it hangs out in your bags and has a pretty long cooldown. But, the little guy gave me some free beer, so I forgave him.

The difference between a Pony Keg and having a Pony Keg AND Keg Pony is that you can get your group twice as smashed as before.
Accept no substitutes, accept no compromise. Pack both.
(On a more serious note, the Pony Keg needs placing in the world while the Keg Pony is an instant companion summons, even though the item is a permanent inventory item. Keg Pony behaves like a Companion, but is not and due to the cooldown and 3-minute timer is unlikely to be.)

Asked in the Queue a little while ago whether to get this or the Pony Keg...one of the commenters convinced me to save up for this.
