Patch 4.3 PTR: Alizabal, Mistress of Hate available for testing
The good news: Raid testing has begun on the patch 4.3 PTR. The bad news: It's not a Dragon Soul boss. Alizabal, Mistress of Hate, is the third and final (?) encounter of Baradin Hold, and she's downright eager to be slaughtered by Azerothian adventurers. Even better, Blizzard Lead Encounter Designer Daelo wants your feedback, you murderers.
Even if you won't have an opportunity to tackle her on the PTR, you can still find out a fair amount about the encounter from datamining and our new friend the Dungeon Journal. We know Alizabal uses the abilities Blade Dance, Seething Hate, and Skewer. We also know she wields this thing. Good to know, that.
Brace yourselves for what could be some of most exciting updates to the game recently with patch 4.3. Review the official patch notes, and then dig into what's ahead: new item storage options, cross-realm raiding, cosmetic armor skinning and your chance to battle the mighty Deathwing -- from astride his back!

On my server no one does this raid any more. To the point that TB is usually a ghost town, and hasn't changed hands in a couple months. My personal feeling is that the loot tables are too screwy for an attempt.

We shun TB because PVE gear NEVER drops, and if it does, only for the class you don't have in your raid. Mostly we will pug it occasionally when attendance is poor just to get the guild challenge for the week.

Well on my server we always do TB Boss.
So I guess two absolutes cancel each other out.

It's usually better to do the 25-man versions anyways. You won't face much of that, considering you should have around 2 of each class (or more).

BH is still heavily pugged on my server. It's a nice way to get some extra VP for alts or non-raiders without another slog through the Zul's and possibly get some T12 or offspec items in the process.
I still go in there on my main even though I have no need for the Tier or points. I like to keep some nice PvP gear on hand for the occasional romp in random BG's and BH certainly has plenty of it.

in MY land, tuesday is a stream of BH 25mans. After tuesday, there's occasionally a failpug, but most everyone that knows the place gets it out of the way asap.

Ahh, but what _is_ she? I'm going with those six-armed demon ladies (sorry, I can't recall they're name).
Scunosi Oct 4th 2011 4:13PM
I saw a video of her fight a week ago (not sure how actually, if this is it opening for the first time). She just uses Shahrazz's model, so yes, the six-armed ladies.

So, basically it goes like the following: 1) stack up on Seething Hate, 2) Tanks must swap after Skewer, and 3) the tank currently on the boss will need extra healing and no one should waste their attacks on her during Blade Dance. Sounds easy enough. Of course, that still means a lot of morons will fuck it up.
SaintStryfe Oct 4th 2011 4:12PM
Did on the PTR - it's much easier then Occthar.
Basically, she's tanked, she starts spinning, everyone scatters to avoid damage, she stops spinning, you run in. I think there's a tank switch somewhere in there too.

Will she drop tier 13 gear? I remember reading that you couldn't buy tier gear with VP, but I don't recall what happens here.

is it me, or are the BH bosses much much easier than the Vault bosses from Wrath?
Telwar Oct 4th 2011 5:40PM
No, they're about the same difficulty, with about three elements per fight. These elements typically consist of a tank swap, a runaway, adds to be nuked, and/or crap on the ground to avoid or get out of.
vocenoctum Oct 4th 2011 6:11PM
other than the lightning insta wiper, I think they're about equal really. It would be nice if the current but older (tier 11, 12 for instance) bosses still awarded some valor or something so people would still run them.

Am I the only one who thought "Richard, Mistress of Magma"?
Avan Oct 4th 2011 4:29PM
For Pony!
Minstrel Oct 4th 2011 4:20PM
Stack up on Seething Hate, spread out on Blade Dance, tank swap each Skewer.
Phase 3: collect lootz.

It amazes me that pug groups still have issues with BH bosses. Even after explicitly telling people to stack up on Eyes and AoE, you still have idiot DPS that mindlessly stays on boss. I foresee an issue where lots of DPS will kill themselves on Blade Dance.
