While we might not admit it, most of us have a stereotype in mind when we think of each class. In Class Stereotypes by Wowcrendor, we get a brief opportunity to relive all those misconceptions. The death knight is last because it may be the most accurate of all of them.
This video is fairly classic Wowcrendor at this point. It has a faint kernel of truth, which is what makes the commentary and comedy so effective. The voice acting is fun, and the video efforts serve to highlight the narrative. While the video is fairly straightforward, there's no unnecessary fluff of extraneous padding. That's one of Wowcrendor's best attributes; he keeps the videos fun and concise. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! no joke, I'm resto4Life, But I change my OS like other people change there underwear. Today its feral cat, will I ever raid feral cat? No, but I did blow a couple thousand gold switching all my +agi gear gems/chants from bear to cat. Next up resto PVP lol.
Bingo. Sounds *exactly* like a guy in my guild. At the start of Cata, he was feral tank/feral dps; then he became feral tank/boomkin; now he's feral tank/resto for the moment.
I'm pretty sure he's only staying feral tank so consistently because he's our OT and we MAKE HIM. XD
I.... I love my Balance/Resto. I love casting, and I don't have fun in melee. Melee just hurts my head in dungeons, and I really can't do well at all. So I don't play Feral.
But if I could, I totally would. I like to devote myself to my main, so I don't do much with alts. But I love the invincible feeling of the bear, as I remember it from when I could fill that role as I leveled. I love the subtlety and speed of the cat to let me choose my battles freely like a rogue. All of that is why I love playing a druid.
I really wish I had a Feral spec that I could use just for soloing. I wish I could switch specs as fast as I shapeshift. I wish, I wish, I wish..... But yeah. Being a Druid makes you want to play your class in all the ways that it can be played. Not even Paladins, who can also fill all the dungeon roles, have the same breadth and depth of class experience as we do. That's why the stereotype fits- and why it's a good thing.
This had me rolling so hard - since i know a few DK's and none do under 20k I roll warrior and I just... listen it's how i think my toon would thinks. "Hit thing with shield.... why you not dead yet? HIT AGAIN! HIT IT HARDER!"
And yet I've always found Death Knights kind of ..... lacking..... as a class. Seems to me like the class would have worked better as a new Warlock spec that let you tank by assuming a massive demon form (since locks don't wear plate or use shields), which would work properly when it was "activated" (kind of like Righteous Fury). You'd have all of the DK abilities including Corpse Explosion, Ghoul Summon and diseases, etc, since it would fit what a Warlock does, but allow the Warlock to take a more "hands-on" approach with enemies by becoming an ultimate power.
Actually DK's were born out of what was intended to be 2 separate classes altogether. Honestly though DK abilities could have been a lot cooler. I always imagined it would be a lot more towards placing rune (aoe zones) on the ground or on targeted enemies and having effects spur off of that. Right now it's just a fancy warrior doing spell damage.

For me its been more like:
Hey this week we need you to DPS.
Oh this week we are short a tank and need you to fill in.
Funny either way.

Totally missed the mark! I don't randomly respec my offspec Boomkin/Kitty/Bear but like once a month! Totally not once a week! >_<

ROFL!
I'm sadly disappointed that he forgot the warlocks life-tapping themselves to death then demanding to be healed back to full.
Rest of it was spot on!

"I am a douchebag!" LOL
Even though I love playing my DK that makes me laugh every time.
Drack Oct 4th 2011 12:30PM
"Don't know how to play my class? Still do 20K DPS."
And proud of it! /DKFlex
Balgus Oct 4th 2011 1:20PM
but you need to remember that Douchebag is no longer a bad thing. Hasn't been since President Douchebag was re-elected.

"I am a douchebag!"
Hey, I resemble that remark.
ravyncat Oct 4th 2011 1:44PM
This made me laugh too. XD
DK mains represent!
I am also the druid who changes their offspec constantly. I'll never stop being a kitty first though. >.>;;

A Dreadlock? :P I dunno.

I'm having trouble seeing how a Demo-based warlock tanking SPEC would be an alternative to a Melee DPS and tanking CLASS.
Seems like one of these things is not like the other...

I LOL'd at the "Harrro I am the Gold Farmah" bit.
Yo Wowcrendor, now that Chris Christie is chickening out, will you please run for President?
Kunikenwad! Oct 4th 2011 12:19PM
He hit the nail on the head about shaman ... /sigh. I know we whine about being nerfed into oblivion and having all of our abilities stolen ...
... but do you blame us? I mean, really?
