2011 Global Writing Contest deadline reminder

Attention, writers! Those of you who are working on entries for this year's Global Writing Contest may want to step up the pace. The deadline for the 2011 Global Writing Contest is Oct. 15 -- a little over a week away. Remember, stories must be between 2,500 to 7,500 words and set in the Warcraft, Diablo or StarCraft universes.
This year's prizes include a trip to Blizzard headquarters and a meeting with the Blizzard writing staff for the grand prize winner, as well as a ton of signed books from all three Blizzard universes and a replica of the Doomhammer. Good luck to all who enter, and don't forget to check out our interviews with last year's winners, too!

....You wouldn't believe the colorful language that just came flying out of my mouth. Guess I know what I'm finishing up tomorrow ^^; . Wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't leaving for vacation until the 15th without computer access tomorrow night. Oi.

Obviously if they don't pick mine then they hate and have always hated good writing. ;)

Too bad they have to be SET inside a WoW universe as opposed to about people who PLAY WoW where WoW plays an integral role in the story. A wider audience could actually relate to that. Real characters... what a concept. Also quality Theatrical Animation costs $$$ to produce. People can be hired cheaper.
Seems a good screenplay is beyond the scope of the contest... I pass...respectfully.
Knock yourselves out guys.

Good luck everyone! I finally got the metaphorical balls to enter this year and I am, for whatever reason, really nervous about it. Going through the editing phase for my story right now and just agonizing over all of the little details. Gah!!
As sad as this sounds, I think all I want is validation for my writing because I just lack the confidence in my work (and myself, but that's a different story). It's like a stamp of approval that says, "Yes, this is, indeed, good writing!"
