Blizzard has just officially revealed the
hunter tier 13 armor set, and as expected, it does in fact have a dragon motif. Blizzard's continuing its tradition of making hunter sets based off of monsters the hunter might have reasonably been hunting during the patch or expansion in which the set appears. Dragons, of course, are the big thing that comes to mind when one hunts Deathwing, but in order to differentiate the set from tier 2's
Dragonstalker set, Blizzard went with a skeletal look this time around. I have to admit, I'm still thinking I'll transmogrify to some
Gronnstalker or
Alliance PVP armor for my hunter, but judge for yourself.

GRONNstalker? REALLY? Urgh. I'd transmog to ANY other set.
Except the 2.5 AQ set. Other than that, NO Gronnstalker. Yick. Crazy death knight.
As for Wyrmstalker, I like it! I will be happy to wear it. I probably won't use the helm, but I rarely do. I like the curled wing shoulders and the rest of the look though. The purple color is definitely better than the datamined orange. Ironically, I hated the purple of the Dragonstalker set.

IMHO, I prefer the Season 3 set, but I really think Gronnstalker is a really good set visually...
A like Tier 2 and normal mode Tier 12 too, but the others I don't like...

ugh, probably not. i hate how helms do that. for gods sake blizz please resolve this (i know, i know, "working as intended"). what the hell is a dwarf without a beard but a stocky alcoholic?

Hmm, I would have personally have liked this for the ICC tier set. Looks something I'd wear after killing Sindragosa. But yea as someone said I thought this was a warlock set, too. The deep purple reminded me of their Tier 2 set colors.
And I was thinking of using the Alliance PVP armor as well. Still might. But for now I'm still going with the BC dungeon Dragonstalker recoloring set. Since I just finished gathering all the pieces (minus the bracers. Could save me a few gold from transmogging something that won't be visible anyway).

Based on the comments, it looks like I'm in the minority so far. I LIKE this set. I think it looks pretty awesome. While I kind of agree that, thematically, it would have been more appropriate back in Wrath (Particularly from ICC), it doesn't change the fact that I like it.
Honestly? I never did particularly like Dragonstalker. I'm not sure what it is about it? Maybe the color-scheme? The design itself? I don't know. But, this... This set I can see myself wearing proudly.
As for transmogging to Gronnstalker... Are you INSANE? Gronnstalker's got to be one of the worst Hunter tiers out there! I'd happily wear ANY tier but that one. (Yes, I'd even wear the mess that came from AQ over Gronnstalker.) Ugh... I guess there's no accounting for taste... -_-

I don't get the hate either. I think it looks great. A dragon themed tier makes a lot of sense for the Deathwing raid. I'm glad they didn't go with a simple reskin of Dragonstalker either. Can you imagine the rage?
I didn't like Dragonstalker. Primarily the colors. The light purple and yellows were just blagh. The darker purple and greys of Wyrmstalker are very nice though.

Purple..Bones..Look ay my forskaen hunters rotten smiley face light up with joy!! *Grabs his decomposing cheeks for a squidge & his jaw falls off* This is made for us undead.. I'm chuffed to beans! I wasn't looking forward to faffing about getting the demonstalker set (although I still might) I don't see many alliance players digging this mood at all.. It's screaming villain.
