I've snuck in another music recommendation for this weekend. Don't tell anybody!
FatherTouk asked:
If you are at a rank in your guild that requires an authenticator, and you remove it from your account, do you automatically get demoted to a rank that doesn't require one?
You get automatically demoted upon logging into the game.
Matt Krotzer asked:
How much live coverage will WoW Insider be providing of BlizzCon?
A lot. We have a ton of people on the ground at BlizzCon, and we'll have live coverage for you throughout the weekend.
Revynn asked:
With BG's, Heroics and soon Raids being region wide instead of simply isolated to your own server, what are the chances that we'll ever see a region wide Auction House?
I feel like it's unlikely, personally; the Auction House is sort of the last bastion of server community we have left.
Morgatho asked:
Late night (or early morning) Q4tQ: is the new wow book a part of the lore of the game 100% like Twilight of the Aspects is?
Yes, the books are considered canon.
James asked:
Looking at the nifty images of our dragon-buddy Deathwing, specifically the ones of his decaying body within the Maelstrom, we can see one JFK sized hole in the middle of Deathwing's chest; methinks that hole be from Thrall busting straight through Deathwing's chest with the Dragon Soul, but I could be wrong. What do y'all think?
Thrall (and, by extension, the Dragon Soul) seems to be exactly the cause of Deathwing's chest wound. We'll have to see, though.

BOY.
YOU THERE. BOY.
BOY, QUIT ALL THIS SCURRYING AROUND.

An actual question, here:
I know that 'Mists of Pandaria' had some kind of tag in the copyright that meant it was a piece of Software. I don't know much more about it than that though... so I gotta ask.
Has anyone thought that this might turn out to be some kind if Smartphone game, rather than an expansion to WoW? With all the premium apps they're developing, like the Auction House app, and wanting to gain subscribers to some kind of higher-tier Battle.net account on top of Warcraft subscriptions, a bundle that includes a Smartphone Pandaren game with the AH app and whatever else they got would go a long way towards bringing tons of people in to pay that extra $2 a month (or whatever it costs).

There's been all kinds of speculation as to what Mists of Pandaria truly is; the smartphone app possibility has been discussed as well. But we won't know until Blizzard tells us.
In theory, we'll know in less than two weeks. ^_^
Drakkenfyre Oct 9th 2011 12:26PM
I believe that was brought up. The filing also consists of manuals, discs, and things which would coincide with a physical release.
MusedMoose Oct 9th 2011 1:00PM
@ Drakkenfyre -
Ah, good point, thank you - I'd forgotten about the physical stuff in the trademark application. So odds are good it's either going to be an expansion or another separate game, and I doubt the latter. ^_^

YOU!
YES, YOU!
STAND STILL, LADDIE!

The theory that I heard that I liked was that perhaps Blizz was doing an electronic version of their card game, like Magic Online. It could tie in well enough with the title.
But I don't know, no way to know until they tell us, really.

BOY.
YOU KISS THAT GIRL.
YOU KISS THAT GIRL THIS INSTANT.

Fuck Im falling down all these speculations ...............

I haven't seen anybody mention the possibility of a fourth Warcraft game. Incredibly, ridiculously unlikely, but it's still something cool to consider.
Sabre Oct 9th 2011 4:06PM
Unless they have managed to copyright another name without anyone finding out (very unlikely) it's basically come down to either Mists of Pandaria being the next expansion or the next expansion will be unnamed at Blizzcon. There's no way they will announce an expansion name that hasn't been copyrighted and time is running out fast if MoP is not the expansion. I think the non-expansion ideas all seem to be stretches while it being the expansion seems highly likely.
mem0ryburn Oct 9th 2011 3:43PM
Yeah a WC4 would be amazing of course.
I feel confident that we'll know what it is after Blizzcon. Not too much longer now.
DarkFinch Oct 9th 2011 3:48PM
Boy Man God Sh*t?
What? No Phish phans here? =(
Xantenise Oct 9th 2011 7:38PM
I'm about to throw a bathtub through your wall.
Luke Oct 9th 2011 9:00PM
Regarding, Phish:
My friends don't charge me to listen to them jam, and they actually write songs, so no, no fans of crappy "prog" rock bands here.
Shrikesnest Oct 9th 2011 9:30PM
I love prog. Not much of a Phish fan, personally, but Rush? Kansas? Jethro Tull? Sign me up.

Besides destroying the last bastion of server community, I shudder to think of what it'd be like to have millions of stacks of ore and enchanting mats at my disposal, or just how impossible it would be to keep my sales from getting overrun by everyone else's. Sure the demand will be there, but the undercutting alone seems like it'd drive prices into the ground and then some.
Drakkenfyre Oct 9th 2011 12:25PM
You think undercutting is bad now?
Imagine being undercut by every person on the AH on EVERY server.
They won't combine the AH's. The very reason we can't exchange non-summoned items and non-dungeon dropped BOP items in cross-server dungeons is economy explotation. Imagine your server has a lack of Miners. But another one has a surplus. Someone meets up with you in a cross-server dungeon, and you buy 10,000 stacks (as an example) of the current high-priced Ore. You go back, and dominate the AH.
Or, your server has a high but thriving gem market. You meet someone who's server has a surplus of a specific gem. You buy a ton cheap, take them back, and just for the hell of it, flood the market with cheap ass gems. You now crash the market for that gem.
