Arguments about this particular thing aside, I think if the history of Blizzard teaches us anything, it's that you should infer the phrase "at this time" after anything they say they will or won't do.

I honestly think that's been one of their strong points; with apologies to Tauren pallies, there are no real sacred cows in the game. Pretty much every rule, every aspect of design, every piece of lore is fair game for changing.
