This video is a little different from our usual fare. Swifty and Cartoonz went to heroic measures to put together the largest crit in the world. You can watch as someone gets slammed by a crit for over 600k damage.
I won't go into details about how the team achieved this level of damage, since that's the whole point of the video. Essentially, though, two teams got together in Warsong Gulch and conspired to apply all the buffs and debuffs possible.
Don't worry about getting hit by a crit of this size in your usual Warsong Gulch gameplay. When you watch the video, you'll see that it took a lot of work and a little luck to make this crit happen.

This was perfectly set up, anybody can set up to do such massive damage give the time, gear and energy. Good on him for doing it, it was an amazing crit, but how often is your enemy going to do everything to increase damage for you.
Again, it was really cool, but his dps output seemed close to normal when he was hitting regular targets not debuffed.
Although, in a BG i would love to have something like that just happen.
He didn't say, but if Swifty had on any PvP gear on he could have removed it to get rid of the damage reduction from resilience. Also, if Cartoonz was in PvP gear he could have switched to PvE gear for more damage from the non-resil secondary stats. That plus the interrupt would have driven the damage way up.
Been done before... and actually higher. Go watch the last 3 minutes of Paragon's World First Nefarian kill. You will see 840k crit Rip TICKS from a feral druid.
Whenever I see videos like this it always reminds me of the original "huge crit" video from back in vanilla. For some of you it might bring back good memories for others who didn't play then, it is an interesting bit of wow history. Keep in mind most people had like 4-5k health so a 26k crit was insane.
Blarg... I was coming in expecting this to be a parody of Tenacious D's "Tribute" and came out disappointed. I know those are big numbers, but they're just... numbers. Wouldn't you rather have...
This is the greatest and largest crit in the world's... Tribute.
Long time ago me and my gamer friend Kyle here, we was plowing our way through a long and boring ZA. All of a sudden, there shined a blizz tinted whisper... in the middle... of my chat...
And he said: "Get the best crit in the world, or I'll ban your account." Well me and Kyle, we looked at each other, and we each emoted... "/okay"
And we did the first rotation that came to our heads, and just so happened to land the best crit in the world, It was the biggest crit in the world
Look into my eyes and it's easy to see meshing one then two when it procs hit three, it was destiny. Once every hundred thousand instance or so, When the lags stay low and the mobs aggro And my damage grow...
Needless to say, the GM was stunned, He /golfclap with is avatar, And his business is done. He ask as: "(snort) Be you hackers?" And we said, "Nay. We are but rogues."
This is not, the greatest crit in the world, no. This is just a tribute (video) Couldn't remember to turn on fraps for this video This is a tribute, oh, to the greatest crit in the world, All right, to the greatest crit in the world All right, It was the best mother**in critical hit in the world al'right
beep obeep boo beep oop beep, ba ba opp beep opp beep greatest ***in dps here~
And the peculiar thing is this my friends, The crit we got on that fateful night it didn't look like anything in this video!
This is just a tribute! You gotta believe me! And I wish you were there! Just a matter of opinion. Good god! Twenty million, sixy thousand, three hundred and fourty nine damage!

And to think, it could have been higher. He even mentioned he didn't get the buff from interrupting a spell cast before he did arcane blast.

There were so many variables in that situation though, but none the less, congrats to Cartoonz.

This should really be added to the article as a footnote.
Well done. Usually people that write these don't get rhythm but I've been singing this one to myself and I have to keep stopping cause I'm giggling.
