I understand the global point you're trying to make about rotations and I agree with it. That said, I'm not sure I want all the people who make jokes about Combat Rogue interfaces being a giant SS button to see a tagline like 'Combat Rogues Keep it Simple'. I also don't agree that our rotation now is the simplest it's ever been. The addition of RVS and BG alone make it more complicated than late-Wrath.
Combat is still a rotational dps model of course, but it has a reactive element to it which I personally prefer to Assassination. If anything it's a shame we're not seeing much need for Rupture anymore: switching finishers based on BG or BF status was engaging without being overly complex. The same could (indeed, can) be said for lining up KS (or AR) with BG as opposed to just popping Vendetta on cooldown or waiting to stack it up with Heroism / a burn phase.
I've nothing against Mut' and Combat is hardly a complex rotation. It does ask you to think on your feet and make small adjustments in a very fast-paced playstyle though. It's a different approach to the finesse of a Mut' rogue, carefully pooling energy and watching debuffs... but I'm not sure it's simpler.

I mainly play a Cat, wich I've been told is similar to Assassination in terms of watching debuffs and Subtlety in terms of choosing what to do in specific cases. In my Rogue I play and have always have played Combat, I don't even have dual spec since I'm not interested in switching.
That being said, I LOVE COMBAT. It's extremely fast paced, it's frenetic. I love to pop sprint every few seconds and dash from mob to mob, I love the frenzy of AR and when I'm cleaving stuff it's just amazing to hear the whomp! sound of my weapons. When transmog hits, I'll be sure to carry the biggest sword/mace/axe and dagger I can find. All this coupled with my Goblin Engineering stuff makes Combat a lot of fun for me.
In my Cat I spend 70% of the time in a mental state of strategy, trying to maximize my DPS. With my Rogue, I just go out there and have fun. Maybe it's because I have years playing Cat and Combat seems pretty simple in comparison. But that's exactly what I love of it. Oh and don't get me started with the DPS potential. My Rogue is way undergeared than my Cat, and she's pulling almost the same DPS numbers on Baleroc o_o
I think my druid will just be a tank for the rest of the expansion...
