Yeah, they've been in the art, books, and card games and mostly absent from the games, barely more than a rumor until now in WOW. The Kung Fu Panda is one of the most successful kiddie cartoon franchises of the last who knows how long. Warcraft books, artwork, and card games: consumed by a small fraction of the Warcraft player base. Kung Fu Panda? Seen by millions of kids and their parents world wide. Panderans inspired KFP? Unlikely. If there was any truth to that we'd have heard about Blizzard getting a nice fat check from Dreamworks. The comparisons are obvious and inevitable. Bounciness as a racial trait? NOPE, doesn't sounds like the fat cartoon panda at all. I understand that Blizz needs to make a play for the mainstream again and try to reestablish themselves in China but this? Yeesh...
