BlizzCon 2011: Reader meetup recap

Every single one of us at WoW Insider, Wowhead, and Gamebreaker.tv had an absolutely wonderful time meeting and greeting our fans. We gave away countless prizes, drank endless drinks (as you can tell from our attendees' Twitter accounts), and had a generally great time. As we do every year, the moment BlizzCon comes to a close, we're going to buckle down and get to work on next year's event. Your feedback is absolutely welcome.
If you didn't get to attend and our livestream last night simply wasn't enough for you, below is our gallery of the reader meetup.
The news is out -- we'll be playing Mists of Pandaria! Find out what's in store with an all-new talent system, peek over our shoulder at our Pandaren hands-on, and get ready to battle your companion pets against others. It's all here right at WoW Insider!Filed under: WoW Insider Business, BlizzCon

I caught part of the livestream; looked like you guys were having a great time. ^_^ I swear, I love geek gatherings - nothing quite like being around tons of people you've never met but knowing you've all got stuff in common. It was like that for me at Dragon*Con this year, must be much the same over there at Blizzcon.
Also: is pic #69 actually Ghostcrawler or just someone who kinda looks like him? @_@
Also also: hope y'all posting here can have more class than the nitwits in the live chat last night. I swear, some of the comments about people at the party made trade chat seem kind and dignified. -_-

That's why I fullscreened :P
Noyou Oct 21st 2011 8:50PM
That's more cute than anyone has a right to :p

Trade Chat (with the multicolored hair)) is quite photogenic.

Wasn't gonna click. Then I saw the hotness. Clicked.

Agree with MusedMoose! I really loved the chat, shame there were so many dbags. And yeah, MusedMoose, that's GC for sure; if not, that guy is getting serious free entrance everywhere.
Thanks WoWInsider guys for the coverage! Pics are amazing and it really looks you guys had fun! Someday, I shall be present!
Take care all and keep enjoying!!

The chatroom was pretty terrible, so many rude people there along with them spamming the same useless sentences over and over.

Glad to see (cutaia) standing upright.

Yeah, next year, please have a chat moderator... And please don't spill beer on the equipment before it's time to wrap up!! :D
Xiahnti Oct 21st 2011 11:35PM
There were mods.
Several, in fact.
There were also thousands of people in the room... most of which were being blessedly quiet. But yeah...bad apples and all that.

WTB meetup in Milwaukee/Chicago. And one in NYC for my guildies.
Noyou Oct 22nd 2011 1:16AM
I'm down for the Milwaukee Chicago.

It was awesome to be around everyone, ironic to find myself in only one pic after being there from 530 til after they kicked us to the parking lot, and ironic to have somehow missed half the celebs.
Then again, some of these people I talked to and had no idea who they were at the time without reading name badges.

Yes, the chat was quite bad.
The only real negative from the video was The Hair. In the future, instead of enjoying the WI podcast, all I will be thinking of is The Hair. And all the groupies bouncing up to stroke it.
You should have warned us.

I know there were, but I guess there needs to be more. There was a LOT of flooding the channel.

is it just me or is fox the hottest thing since sliced bread? i am a guy and i like guys... and he is great!
detailbear Oct 23rd 2011 1:50PM
To each his own. If Rossi were available and so inclined, I'd [Goldshire on Moon Guard reference]. But since he isn't and isn't, I'll just admire from afar.
Fox Van Allen Oct 26th 2011 2:39AM
I totally agree.
