I feel like it's april fools every day when Blizzard announce the release new expansion. Really, panda's? Monks? What priests suppose to be?
I know that if i will continue paying my subscription i will probably be able to make clown race and terminator class. It's too much...
ElrithCC Oct 22nd 2011 4:50AM
You call that a point of contention?
Paladins, priests, and monks are all distinct and separate things. Don't be a Dunning-Krueger.

complaining about Panda and ending your subscription because of it is the single most retarded thing of ending a subscription over. A game that have more than its fair share of silliness but we didn't go over the edge and threaten to unsub because of it. A Panda isn't any more silly than those Walruses out in Northrend. My subscription is currently froze but that doesn't have anything to do with my dissatisfaction of WOW. I unsubscribed because I needed to step away from the game for a few months. You know for damn sure I'll re subscribe the day MoP drops. Exciting times ahead, friendo.

How are priest and monk RPG classes even comparable? Let alone your insinuation that one makes the other redundant?
You've lost the plot mate! XD

In Guild Wars (the first game) monks ARE basically priests, which might be where this guy got confused.
I do agree that monks and priests should be two very distinct classes, though.

Hmm, Yaks! I could see it. Nice find.
I love that /sit emote. Can't wait to meditate in the wilderness while going /afk or taking a break.

Panda male /dance emote needs to be the Thom Yorke Lotus Flower dance. It's so perfect for it.

It's not my number one choice but they do look kinda cool

As much as I would like to see something like a Maori Haka or one of the strong Polynesian men's dances for the males, and I fear we'll get something like Soulja Boy's 'Crank That' or whatever is the current dance craze,
Swallowcraft Oct 22nd 2011 5:11AM
Radiohead - Lotus Flower PANDA's dance. please make it happen Blizz!!

I adore Radiohead and love that video but I completely disagree. I'd even love to see some race in WoW have that dance, just not the pandas.

Looking purely at the gameplay additions, I think this looks like it will be a lot of fun. I like the way they have changed up the routine for expansion storylines, in that we no longer get one big bad guy that you then gotta go and kill. Also, the stat changes look nice. Obviously we will have to wait till the exp drops to see what its really like. In fact, the only thing I don't like is the pandas. Feels to me as if they are introducing a joke race into the game, but trying to do it with a serious face. Wow has never been the most serious game in the world, but still its not a comedy game, and I think they clash with the rest of the game. Also, I have to say that minotaurs and werewolves are NOT the same thing as anthropomorphic pandas.
Again, from a purely gameplay perspective, I think it looks like its going to be really good, and lets face it, if raiding is as much fun as it has been so far, I'm not going anywhere.
(Before fanboys start screaming and flinging their poo at me, notice that this is MY OPINION. Me thinking the pandas are ridiculous is not a personal insult towards you.)

I should have added that disclaimer to my own post too.
ElrithCC Oct 22nd 2011 8:47AM
Yes, check it out in the actual trailer. It's animated to where they are slightly swaying, looks very serene.

I actually agree with Mr. Didier! Pandaren are one of the last things I ever wanted to see in World of Warcraft.
Philster043 Oct 22nd 2011 5:29PM
I had not taken in consideration the dwarves' love for ale, and I suppose that would make them awfully good buddies with the Pandaren, hehe.
Very nice observations on the Alliance, snarkygoldfish. But I have a feeling the Horde reactions will be harder. That's why I said I'd make my Pandaren an Ally to begin with, if I played one.

Doh. Reply fail. Happens every time I check a reply to one of my posts from my e-mail. Apologies!
