Could be mistaken, but I thought that Blizz said there'd be a "cooldown" after each pet purchase from the store.
Plus, can trial/free accounts even buy game items from the Blizzard Store? I know when I bought pets, and game time through the Blizzard store, I had to sign in with my Battle.net account/authenticator, so they could easily set the store to not allow trial/free accounts from buying in-game items.
