I like large explorable dungeons, but it's only nice when you have a group of like-minded players, and invariably, you're always going that have people that want to go straight to the end boss.What Blizzard should do is scale the random reward to the length of the dungeon. Short dungeons get the normal rewards, long dungeons get much more to encourage full clears. They could even tie the dungeon rewards to the completion of downed bosses.

Now here's an interesting thought. Currently, the biggest gripe within a month or so of a new patch is that most of the people in the group don't have any use for JP and don't need any of the gear that drops, so they're essentially doing more work for very little reward (maybe a hundred gold if they get lucky on a disenchant roll). Essentially, if all you care about are the VPs, by running the Deadmines you're paying the opportunity cost of 2-3 Vortex Pinnacle clears. If the Deadmines was worth 2-3 times as much VP, you'd help at least salve the issue.The problem with it, as far as I've thought about it, is that in a long dungeon your group is more likely to fall apart before you finish. The reason people drop the instant they see DM isn't that they're going to have to work three times as long for their VP, it's because there's a 75% chance they get to the Foe Reaper, wipe three times and then everybody calls it quits, meaning your time (from a purely VP perspective) was *completely wasted*. You would have gotten greater benefit from grinding your Archaeology or Fishing for that forty minutes, for all the gear it's going to get you. You may have even *lost* money if you stuck it out through enough wipes.So it's an interesting partial solution you've suggested here, but I don't think it's a total fix. Still, better than nothing, eh?

At first, probably. My first time through, say, Vortex PInnacle was a hoot. My eightieth time? I just wanted to get my points and go.One of the less-documented (read: non-controversial) features from MoP is that they're going to allow you to get your VPs in a whole mess of different ways. This is a godsend... I might enjoy dungeons more if I'm not forcing myself to run a fifth in a row even though I don't want to because tomorrow is Tuesday and I need those VPs, by God. The clock is ticking!
