You're mostly wrong about that part. The ones who read info about MoP, say to themselves "Hmmmm. That doesn't sound good." and quietly cancel will go. But there will be very few people like that as most people capable of doing that either already quit or fall into the next group. The ones who will play it then say to themselves "Hmmmm. This isn't good." and quietly cancel will probably be much larger as inevitably, some people won't like the changes enough to not want to play anymore.
But just about anyone who cares enough about the game to spend time writing out rants over things they don't like about MoP still cares way too much about WoW to stay away. They might hit the cancel button today, but no later than a couple minutes after they see the "Game time expired" message they'll be punching in their CC# again.
