I'm familiar enough with most low-level dungeons where if they retained their original difficulty I would probably still be able to complete quests/other on appropriate-level characters, but I don't know that all/most new players have the same experience. My memories of low-level instances the first time around, while often great, are also of unwieldy masses of corridors, bosses that I probably never heard of because I didn't know how to get to them, encounters that couldn't be done because no one was on the quest, and people saying "this will take forever to do; let's just skip it" - I think it's good for the developers to cut back on some of the tedious parts so newer players don't think all of WoW is that difficult to navigate or understand.
