When we saw that
Blizzard had registered the
Mists of Pandaria trademark back in August, no one was sure what to think. Was it a sign of the next expansion, a
WoW Trading Card Game pack, or simply Chris Metzen playing an elaborate prank on us all? It turns out that
the first option was the correct one, but
big fat pandas are not the only things we have to look forward to next year. Huge
talent changes, the
WoW version of Pokemon,
scenarios and
challenge modes, a
new class (the monk), and even
a free copy of Diablo 3 (with the new
WoW annual pass) are all bundled into the next expansion. Which one of these interests you the most?

Really? Is that the best you can do? Because in the four years I have been playing WoW I have been nothing but heplful and courteous to other players in dungeons.
Nice try, though.

To you, and to all the naysayers quitting, I have this to say.
AND NOT A SINGLE FUCK WAS GIVEN THAT DAY.
kevin.luang Oct 22nd 2011 9:34AM
To be fair, he doesn't know you, none of us do, all we (that is, I) know about you is that you take the effort to log in to a website dedicated to people who DO enjoy the game and write a shitty, unwarrented comment about how you dislike the game in such a fashion that nobody can properly respond to it, let alone provide constuctive criticism or start a meaningfull, intelligent discussion about it and then you dare to complain when someone adresses you on that in a same manner?
You, sir, are an asshole. I'd say good riddance.
lycan_no_chaos Oct 22nd 2011 10:13AM
My thoughts exactly, Kevin.

lycan_no_chaos: You think you're special, or something? Nobody cares that you don't care. I'll tell you who does care, though: Blizzard. And they're gonna feel the effect of this garbage they are pulling, I promise you that. If not at launch, then definitely in the following few months. Mark my words.
kevin.luang: And what, you think I don't enjoy WoW? I do. I do a lot. And that's why it pains me to see this kind of shit happening to it. Again... nice try.
You, sir, are a presumptuous douchebag. I'd say go die in a fire.
Therinor Oct 22nd 2011 10:42AM
Razion,
you will be in for a surprise. A lot of people that seem to bother you in PUGs will be people who LOVE the idea of having a panda that they can name "k00ng f00 panda" or whatever. Those are the same people who will complain that you can not mogrify your weapon that look like a big fish.
Do you really think that people who think of pandaren as "out of line regarding lore" or "a bit too silly" are the ones who wear obnoxious dress-items or transformation-buffs in instances?
What do you think "Lolegolas", the hunter with the ugly pet called "Ieatzurface" will do when Pandaren are available? Wait and see
Noah Oct 22nd 2011 10:38AM
Stop whining. Nobody likes you. Go away. We'll enjoy our pandas, you enjoy bitching about it somewhere else.
'nuff said.
kevin.luang Oct 22nd 2011 10:46AM
You are why we can't have nice things. :C
I may be a presumptuous douchebag, but you are just making presumptions about things you can't know anything about yet. You don't know how everything will play out, nothing is definite at this moment, much can and probably will change. All this naysaying happens at every new expansion or big content patch and Blizzard probably couldn't give less of a shit.
Prove me wrong a few months after the expansion and I'll happily stand in a fire for you, untill then, bye! /wave

Pandas. Your argument is invalid.
taokore Oct 22nd 2011 8:12AM
I think you forgot Pandaria itself. Second comes the Pandaren though.
coffeeman51 Oct 22nd 2011 8:15AM
Westfall Battle Chicken .... oh jeez
HappyTreeDance Oct 22nd 2011 8:14AM
New art style. While I loved the darkness of Wrath, I haven't been overly fond of the art in Cata and it's just kind of all blurred together for me at this point (except for Skywall, and it's probably best not to get me started on what a wasted art asset that was). I'm hoping with new art style comes a new approach to weapon design. If this expansion means that I can have an elegant, graceful looking sword instead of something that looks like it was made out of a rock, I'll be thrilled.
I'm also excited for the monk class. I've been wanting that for awhile, and am looking forward to seeing how it works. Just wish we could have more character slots per realm!
Frase32 Oct 22nd 2011 8:26AM
I agree the new zones, thus far, look stunning. They have great atmosphere and color palettes. Of course that is till we are dashing through them on our hideously disfigured vanilla character models. Can you tell I'm a sad panda?
HappyTreeDance Oct 22nd 2011 9:04AM
Yeah, I keep crossing my fingers that they're going to update the vanilla models as well. It's going to make me very sad when a silly looking panda man looks better than my...silly looking cow woman.
si Oct 22nd 2011 8:17AM
I don't think there's a single thing on the list I'm not excited about, but the 12 month-ish wait to get to play it is killing me right now.
NO NAME Oct 22nd 2011 8:17AM
...Level cap getting raised to 90?
I can't find myself excited when there's no end game boss. But, by law, I can't quit WoW - so, best I sit here in my designer heels and wait.
Nick Oct 22nd 2011 8:18AM
This will probably get downrated, but I'm really not feeling it for this expansion.
I'm not keen on Pandas, there is a "too silly" line and imo the pandas cross it.
Monk seems ok for those that want to play them, but we really don't need a new class.
Pet battling? I had a gameboy, I had pokemon.
This will be the first expansion I don't buy at/before launch for immediate as soon as I can, and frankly I'm not sure I will get it at all. Unless things change it really doesn't look like WoW is for me any more. That's not to say WoW is suddenly bad, I love the game as it is now, and I've loved it from 2006 when I started playing. I don't know why, but I'm really not excited for WoW 5.0 none of the changes add something that will make the game better for me.
The question for me is do I play GW2, Starwars or just swear off MMOs alltogether?
Sorcha Oct 22nd 2011 8:45AM
I feel the same way. Maybe I'm just growing jaded after having played so long...the talents do look interesting, but honestly nothing else really grabs me.
Dan Oct 22nd 2011 8:49AM
No offense, but...talking pandas are too silly, and talking cows aren't?
Defoe Oct 22nd 2011 8:51AM
I am in agreement. New talent system sounds intruiging but I could take or leave anything else. To be honest if Im excited about anything, its now being able to unsub without FOMO.
Have played WoW since beta and have enjoyed every single minute of it, this seems like a good time to let go and move on though.
