Dan, no, talking cows aren't to many of us, because they are based on minotaurs, which were a bit more than "talking cows". A lot of people go "We had talking cows, dogs and spacegoats, so whats the deal?"
Tauren - Minotaurs
Worgen - Werewolves...they dont exactly look like cute talking beagles, do they?
Draenei - The "spacegoat" name is a player-invention. They, to me, are a combination of different things, but I never thought of them as "goat-related". Look up satyrs in any other place than wowwiki
