The Daily Quest: If I don't get a horse this year

WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative, and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.
Hallow's End is still ongoing, and there are a lot of new quests and items to pick up! Sadly, BlizzCon 2011 is also taking place at the same time. Don't get me wrong -- Anaheim is an awesome place to be, but it means I miss a few days of farming for that horse. And if I don't see a horse from the Headless Horseman this year, there are going to be repercussions. Serious repercussions.*

Same! I had it drop on a character I only queued with to see if I remembered how retadins worked!
My priest and warrior still have nothing, and they're currently using a plain windrider. :(

they should just make the mount purchasable for some max amount of treats. my buddy who doesnt care at all about mount collecting or any of that kinda stuff, got the mount last night. If i dont get the mount this year im going shawshank redemption and writing blizz a letter ever day until they just give me one.

Horse and helm for me. Got the ring and sword so far, but not the other two for me.

@Hih, Hopefully mounts will be account wide in MoP, too.
That said, the drop rate for the squashling has seemed very high this year, and the mount very low compared to last year. I got the mount on four toons last year, but haven't seen it drop at all this year. Squashlings, though, I am trashing all the time. It makes me wonder if Blizzard changes the drop rate from year to year.

I am getting discouraged about my chances for the mount, i run 5 toons every day and have yet to see the plate helm, saber, or mount

I have the worst luck with mounts. Been running Brewfest and Hallow's End dungeons every single day of the holidays, since 2007. Still no mount on any character from any of the holiday bosses. :( And before the changes to the holiday bosses (ie. adding them to dungeon finder), I would often run those dungeons multiple times (we would rotate in alts to try and get the mount for the mains). Nada. Nothing. Still no holiday mounts, of any type. :(
I just have the worst luck with mounts. So many baron kills, and no mount. Out of our 10 main raiding group, I was the last one to win the Sarth 3D drake. Done the bear run numerous times, yet I always lose the roll for the mount (yes, I know, I need to do more guild runs with people who already have the mount - sadly the only time I tend to be on when lots of guildies are on is for raids).

You know the rules, the more you want something the less likely it is that you will get it.

The Squashling was the last piece I needed for the title and achievement two years ago, and it didn't drop until the last day. This year, I think I've deleted seven so far. And I've gotten the Hallowed Helm at least 6 times this year.
I do have the sword and the helm, but the latter's not much use for a mage, so that's great.
The only character I have the horse on is my shaman, who has about 1 hour /played since he hit 85. So that's great. Learned my lesson this year, I'm only running HH on my main.

I've been running HH since he first came out and started dropping mounts. Every year, I have summoned him the maximum number of times. I have never once EVER missed a single summon on my main. I can't even remember SEEING the horse drop for someone in all of those runs. I refuse to run HH on my alts, just in case the horse drops for one of them, and I end up going berserk and burning down things.
At least I have both the rams from the very first Brewfest on my BE pally. But those I earned, by getting an obscene amount of tickets. BUT THEY DON'T FLY WITH MAGICAL GREEN FIERY HOOVES!

I have had the same issue for Brewfest my main stil needs teh ram and the kodo, all my 9 alts have 1 some both my main who I want the kodo on has none despite putting the most effort in for the past 3 years, RNG is an evil tool.

The only toon that seems to get any of the holiday mounts is my pally alt. After destroying my third brewfest kodo I figured it's too depressing to take my pally on the runs and just take my others in the vain hope that the mount will drop for them. I the bags worked like the dungeon finder bags so I could just send my goodies to another toon :(

since 08 i have been trying to get this damn horse on my main.... i log on every day to try for it.... same with the kodo. No kodo AGAIN!!!! /spazout. so hers hoping i finally get my horsE THIS YEAR!!!!! >_< !!!!%^$#$&*# /SPAZZING OVER 90000$%#@ %!

I've run it every day since the mounts been out and i never got it. My friend with 11 85's got it on 8 of them last year... I'm screwed...

The first time in 3 years that I've seen the horseman's mount was my first loot-filled pumpkin this year.
I was so excited I jumped up and destroyed my desk...literally.
